At Airbnb, trust and safety is our priority. Whether you’ve hosted hundreds of times or you’re welcoming your first guests, here are a few tips to help make sure your Fourth of July bookings go off without a hitch.

    1. Keep it clean

Guests expect your space to be clean, comfortable, and safe. Be sure to familiarize yourself with our five-step cleaning process and other tips for hosting during COVID-19.

    2. Set expectations

Communicate with your guests to make sure they understand your house rules, and share local laws and ordinances regarding parking, fireworks, noise, and COVID-19. You may also want to remind guests of Airbnb’s party policy.

    3. Be a good neighbor

Let your neighbors know you’re expecting guests. In case any issues arise, we recommend leaving your contact info with one or more trusted neighbors, and sharing the Neighborhood Support Tool.

    4. Foster belonging

Airbnb is built on inclusion, and we have a strict nondiscrimination policy to reflect that. We expect that our hosts and guests will treat others with respect.

    5. Cancellation update

If you believe a guest intends to throw an unauthorized party, you may be able to cancel the reservation prior to check-in without penalty under our penalty-free cancellation policy for Instant Book hosts. We will ask you to share your cancellation reason. Please note that you may still be subject to penalties if we determine that you canceled to charge higher prices or for a discriminatory reason.

Thanks for being a host! If you have questions or need more info, please visit our Help Center.
