Limited to one group per day, Guest House Agai is convenient for walking the Kumano Kodo and playing in the river. You can experience country life.

Guest House Agae is a renovated traditional house that can only accommodate one group at a time. It is in a very convenient location, about 550 m (about 7 minutes on foot) to Kumano Kodo and Kinkou Oji, a supermarket (A-COOP), a bus stop (Kodo Aruki no Sato Chikatsuyu), and restaurants (Shoji Teahouse and Tororo-ya). The owner is a local Kumano Kodo guide, so we will do our best to accommodate your questions and advice about walking the Kumano Kodo, as well as pick-up and drop-off when you need it. We can also provide personal guides, so please let us know. Prices do not include meals. Kashinoki-an is in a very convenient location, just a 3-minute walk from Kintetsu Kashihara-Jingu-Mae Station. In the neighborhood, there is Asuka, which retains the appearance of ancient Japan, and is dotted with many ruins. Imai-cho, where the old streets from the Edo period still exist, is also a highlight. Kashinoki-an is a pure Japanese-style house built over 60 years ago, and you can also enjoy the garden. The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated for a pleasant stay. There is also a tourist information center, restaurant, tavern, supermarket, drug store, convenience store, and 100-yen shop nearby, making it very convenient. You can also get to Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara in about an hour.

This guest house is located in Nigishima-cho, Kumano City, Mie Prefecture. Nigishima-cho is located in the southern part of Mie prefecture, and you can enjoy the beautiful azure seascape called Kumano Blue. Enjoy the view of the calm sea of the port town from your room and relax and enjoy the atmosphere of a nostalgic port town on Nigishima. Kumano City is located on the prefectural border with Wakayama Prefecture, and is the best place to drive around Wakayama and Mie's famous places.

"Genki House", a house near Kumano Hongu-Taisha

It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area.Also I provide two bikes at the house. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ （If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)
