The train and the bus stations are only 5' minutes walk from the apartment. In 2' minutes there is a taxi piazza and a supermarket. There is private parking at the entrance of the building where you can use it for free. The space is renovated in 2020 and we use high quality materials in every level. The bathroom is equiped with Apivita products.

In the shadow of Meteora! (Στη σκιά των Μετεώρων)

Vaggelis’ place is spacious , is indeed in the shadows of monasteries above and the town is walkable in 5 minutes. All the rooms are spacious. There are 1.5 baths and good hot water but the shower is hand held but not walk in. Vaggelis’ brother (Costas) met us and let us in. He was super helpful all the time. The fridge was well stocked when we arrived with water, bread, cheese, ham, milk, wine. The local town of Kalabaka is surprisingly large and full of cafes, bars and restaurants. The monasteries nearby are a 10-15 minute drive and are well worth the trip. But they can be busy and we weren’t even mid season early May. So get to them early or at lunchtime when the coach parties have gone for lunch. And be ready to climb steps. Lots of them.

Φανταστικός χώρος και η κυρία Εβελίνα γλυκύτατη και υπέροχος άνθρωπος! Το σπίτι ήταν τέλειο και η ιδιοκτήτρια είχε φροντίσει να το εξοπλίσει με ό,τι μπορείτε να φανταστείτε. Είχε ήδη γεμίσει την κουζίνα με υλικά για πρωινό. Χυμούς, ψωμάκι, μαρμελάδες, γάλα, βούτυρο, ελαιολαδο, καφέδες δεν χρειάστηκε σχεδόν να αγοράσουμε τίποτα εμείς. Η ηρεμία που προσέφερε η τοποθεσία μαζί με την υπέροχη θέα ήταν 10/10!!

We had a lovely time at Rina’s place. It was small but just what we needed and at a great price!! Dimitra gave lots of local recommendations for eating and hiking/sightseeing. We had breakfast up the hill both mornings at Koka Roka (one of her recommendations) and it was the perfect start to our day of hiking. We would definitely recommend this little home. By the way, another review mentioned not enough hot water…..we never had that problem…..Always enough for both of us - with some left over!!

Christos is a wonderful host. He is proactive in his communications. His place is very cozy. The kitchen is well stocked with bread, butter, jam, coffee, juice, etc. The place has a nice porch to sit and relax on and it is within walking distance of everything. I highly recommend Christos’s place and will definitely return.

Η οικοδέσποινα Κυρία Βιργινία ήταν ευγενεστατη, πολύ ευχάριστη και φιλική!!! Το σπίτι είναι στο κέντρο της πόλης και δεν χρειάστηκε να πάρουμε όχημα για τις μετακινήσεις μας. Είναι όλα δίπλα! Ήταν άνετο, καθαρό και ζεστό και πλήρως εξοπλισμένο!!! Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα 😊!!!

We hebben het heerlijk gehad bij Chris! We hadden veel privacy in het huisje en de tuin, het uitzicht is heel mooi, het bed was comfortabel en het appartement is met liefde en aandacht ingericht en ontzettend leuk dat je al wandelend de Meteora in kan lopen (aanrader om de wandelpaden te verkennen, hele mooie paden en erg rustig). Eigenlijk was alles super! Hele fijne bijkomstigheid, het huis heeft goede horren waardoor je alles lekker open kunt zetten zonder muggen. Het laatste stukje weg er heen is semi-verhard, maar prima te doen met een gewone auto.
