Nice and comfortable place, excellent host, beautiful gardens, large pool, safe place

Excellent place, everything is very clean, the facilities are very nice. The only recommendation is that, if you go from El Puyo, you arrive in Tena and follow the indicated path, in Google Maps they divert you along a road before arriving in Tena (Do not take that route) Excellent host

The place is very clean, impeccable as in the photos, I enjoyed 4 days with my family, we were very comfortable, there is the possibility of hiring Blanquita to cook and clean the place and I recommend her 100% it was worth it, excellent cooking and she has a beautiful attitude, what is worth taking into account is that the cost of the stay depends on how many people are staying, I would come back and I highly recommend it

A super comfortable, organized and nice place.

Great landscaping. Well furnished but nothing so fancy you’re afraid your kids will destroy it. Super responsive and friendly family lives on site to assist with anything needed. Only con is address is sent at last minute before typically boarding a late night flight so there is not time to do any google mapping. Property is located on down a dark dirt alley - never a great feeling being anywhere and having your taxi go down a narrow dirt road at 1am and not knowing beforehand. The instructions pdf for the property should have a picture or a disclaimer - don’t worry the narrow ally road is in deed the correct way. Over all great property and if I was with a group in the Quito area would totally stay again!

Beautiful place, very quiet, nice. A place to spend time as a family or something romantic and enjoy nature. Nice facilities. The pools are clean. Ale is excellent host. Very attentive. I'll be back for sure.

Beautiful place, suitable for the purpose.

100% recommended. A spacious, safe place with all the amenities to spend with family or friends. I would definitely come back. The only thing to note is that if you are carrying dogs you have to be vigilant as other dogs in the neighborhood come in through the enclosure.

This is the place I'd really like to recommend. It's a great place for those who want to rest peacefully in a quiet, countryside environment. 1. The host welcomed us with quick communication and kindness. It was comfortable and satisfying throughout the stay, not to mention before check-in. 2. The accommodation was really clean, and it was comfortable because it was equipped with kitchen utensils, toiletries, and towels. 3. The property is located in a highland overlooking Kumbya. It's not far from the city center, and I don't think it's a difficult place to access if you have a vehicle. It's a great place to enjoy a beautiful garden and a peaceful atmosphere. (Pretty cats and birdsong are a bonus) 4. The pre-ordered breakfast was of a higher quality than expected. I would recommend it to those staying. I would like to express my gratitude to the host for taking good care of me again, and I hope to stay again if I get a chance.

everything was excellent! Fernando, who received us, is very attentive and helped us with a lot of things! everything was very clean! It's a quiet place and it feels safe, the house is inside a private residential complex!

A totally charming place, especially Pablo's service, he gave us all the information and amenities of the house, I definitely recommend it, we hope to return soon.

Such an amazing value for such a big place in such a beautiful location. You basically get your own private compound, which for the three of us, was more than enough room. If anything was needed, Pablo was a text away, and the main part of the lodge (restaurant, bar, pool) is basically across the street. The unit is equipped with some of the best WiFi I found in Ecuador, which was a pleasant surprise as we were in the middle of the rainforest. Pablo and the rest of the staff at Huasquila were excellent, and beyond hospitable. We checked in super late, and Pablo waited behind to make sure we knew exactly where to park, and to help us with our stuff. The lodge is actually closer to Cotunda than Tena, just a fair warning. We drove to Tena routinely and it took less than 30 minutes. Archidona is another, closer hub with food and shops. The area immediately surrounding the lodge is basically trails, caves, rivers, caves with rivers in them, etc. Basically an outdoorsmans’ paradise. Along with that, you do get bugs sometimes near the sliding glass doors (mainly outside the lodge) but you kind of have to expect that in this location. Just be aware that you will be staying in a lodge in the Amazon rainforest. Another awesome perk was the breakfast offered by the lodge every day. Pablo and the staff even brought us breakfast to our house because we were the only ones staying at Huasquila at the time.

A great place in which to stay There was good communication and information from start to fin. The house is highly equipped for a comfortable and fun stay (not all Airbnbs have this) Although we find some bugs it's part of the Amazon and its fauna so you have to be prepared. The place is beautiful and would definitely come back

Byron’s home is the perfect escape from the city. The location is excellent to visit many of the surrounding outdoor experiences Quito has to offer. Would highly recommend this location for small or larger groups.

Our stay at El Tena was wonderful! I went with a group of friends and we were delighted. Everything was impeccable: super clean, tidy and with everything you need to feel comfortable. The host was a delight, very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. He gave us excellent recommendations for eating and exploring the area. The place is quiet, ideal for disconnecting and enjoying. 100% recommended! It fulfills everything it promises and more.

The house is spacious and very comfortable. There is a smart tv in the living room. Nice terrace on the third floor. Kitchen and living room have a nice open feel to them. Very good location. Belen is an excellent host. Would definitely stay here again.
