Lucky Luquillo's Solar El Yunque & Beach Retreat

MicahRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Place was nice and roomy. Lots of space! We had enough room for our one friends to show a few of the couples in our group how to swing dance. View in the front and back of the place were awesome, especially of the rainforest in the back! Things to know: Lots of mosquitoes, make use of the zappers provided! Air conditioner in the kitchen doesn’t do a great job of keeping that area and the dining area cool. Everywhere else, the a/c worked great! 1 bathroom has no hot water, and during our a stay, a second bathroom was also unable to get hot water. So, the only bathroom with hot water was in the master bedroom, which wasn’t ideal. It wasn’t that much of a problem except for night showering. During the day, the sun must have kept the ground so warm that the water was still lukewarm and not too cold. You may get suddenly told about scheduled landscape and other maintenance techs that you will have to leave the gate unlocked for them to get in.

Amazing Ocean Views 3Br Steps frm Playa Azul Beach

JaredRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had an amazing 10-day stay at Larry’s place in Luquillo! The location is absolutely perfect—just a one-minute walk to a stunning beach with both fun waves for surfing and a more relaxed spot for lounging and swimming. It was such a peaceful and beautiful area, and we loved being able to walk to the beach whenever we wanted. The home itself is a great base for exploring the island. We did several day trips and found it super convenient to get around from Luquillo. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the abundance of fresh fruit around the property. We were hoping the guanábana would ripen while we were there, but it kept us guessing! My daughter especially loved checking for fresh eggs each morning—such a fun and unique touch to the experience. Overall, Larry is a fantastic host, and this place has a wonderful, laid-back vibe that made our trip to Puerto Rico really special. Highly recommend!

Amazing house in Caraballi Rainforest Park!

AliyaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Daniel & Ana were very responsive. We had a few hiccups but things were taken care of promptly. The location is not on maps so there is only longitude and latitude used for directions, which after understanding it’s in 600 acres of private land it made sense. The big brown gate was easy to use and created even more security and privacy. It was great with lots of trails in the facility next door that does horse back riding, forest atv riding, restaurants, and more. We were fortunate to have bumped into Daniel and he took us on a quick ride into the acres of the estate. Incredible! We will most definitely return. Also note you are in horse territory, so there are stables everywhere including down the hills of the estate. They are all private residences so vacationers should be respectful of the people taking care of the horses. Our only minor bummer were noseeums. Mosquito spray was provided - you are in a rainforest - but honestly we didn’t have many. Definitely would recommend!

Luquillo Beachfront Retreat

KatharineRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
GREAT stay with our extended family— two little kids, parents and grandparents. Everyone had plenty of room at the house and plenty to do with the pool, pool table, walking distance beach, and lots of games on the property. The location is also AWESOME—i would recommend having a vehicle, but we were able to bop all over the area from here including two trips to San Juan, a trip to Fajardo, and lots of bops down to the kiosks. We did the bio bay, Bacardi factory tour, horse back riding, saw the turtle festival—it was a fun filled week ☺️ there is a walking distance bakery with delicious breakfast sandwiches, and the little shop at the corner that sells fresh coconut water is super affordable and friendly despite its looks! I’m a sheet and bed snob — the linens are GREAT. soft cottons, clean, fresh. Beds were comfy. Lots of variety in pillows and plenty of sleeping pillows for a pillow happy family—I sleep with three myself! Also a lot of decorative pillows…we just tucked those away.

Villa Cohoba, Hacienda Guatibirí

MARILYNRating, 5 stars4 months ago

CarolynRating, 5 stars1 month ago
5/5 – Absolutely Amazing Stay! This villa was perfect!! Everything we could have asked for in a tropical getaway! The space was beautiful, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host’s communication was excellent, making the entire process seamless. A couple of small notes: The humidity inside could be noticeable on some days, but that’s to be expected in paradise. Also, the villa is connected to another, so you can hear some noise from the other side. It wasn’t a big deal for us, but there were a few moments when our kids woke up due to other guests—though I’m sure they heard my toddler running around too! The villa offers a true el campo experience, which was exactly what we were looking for! Plenty of insects and animals around, but that’s just part of the charm. The neighbors were all friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable. Uber does come out here, but it takes a while, so renting a car is a must if you want to explore the island.
