Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Nicaragua

The house is beautiful, spacious and great for family events. Every room has a private shower and restrooms. My family was so happy with the house. 3 minutes walking distance from the beach and 6 minutes walking distance from all the bars and restaurants. We are definitely coming back to this house. We stayed at CasAnika for three weeks and had an amazing time! The house is spacious, clean, and cozy, with a beautiful terrace and a well-equipped kitchen. The Wi-Fi was great for remote work, and we loved the pool area and the friendly dogs and cats. Tony was a fantastic host, always helpful and full of great tips. The location is quiet, private and ideal, within walking distance to Maderas and Marsella beaches. We rented a scooter for trips to town but rarely needed to go as the area was so peaceful. Highly recommend!

If you're traveling to a new and beautiful such place such as Nicaragua, and you find yourself in a small fishing known as El Gigante - there's no doubt you should be finding yourself at Dale's Cool Places. You name it - proximity to views, comfort, food, water, people. it's got it all and you'll be at ease knowing the care and and resources at hand. Clean, safe, and reliable.

I had such a great day at the Airbnb! It has a massive kitchen and two beautiful bedrooms and the kitchen is stocked with pretty much everything that you need. You are really close to the beach and a really safe area and there are markets and restaurants and bars within walking distance. I would definitely come back here!

We’ve stayed at many houses in Hacienda Iguana and this house was by far our favorite. It’s got an amazing layout and gorgeous furniture + comfortable beds. But I’ll always remember the spectacular wrap around screened in porches on both levels. We stayed with our 4 month old and it was so beautiful to give him his midnight bottle in an Adirondack rocking chair on the screened in patio off the main bedroom…precious ‘new mom moments’ under the moon, stars, with the sound of the ocean (you can hear the waves at Panga Drops surf break). The property is located directly across the dirt road from the most secluded part of the beach. We had gorgeous evening walks at low tide sunset and came home to cook dinners in the well appointed kitchen. We had coffee by the crystal clear pool in the mornings and really enjoyed being walkable to Rancho Santanas Taqueria + the cute restaurants in Iguana. Bonus: we decided to elope! You are paying for the location. The location and the size of the property cannot be beat. There’s plenty of room for kids to run around. It is clean and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen had a new sponge which hasn’t been the case at other Airbnbs. And the pool is quite nice! It would be nice if there were a few more kitchen amenities like lids for the pots and seasonings. It would also be nice if the trash in the yard was picked up in case there are children running around barefoot. There were some pop tops/bottle tops. But you cannot beat how close it is to the water. It felt like a private resort.

I loved that place. Stayed there for 2 weeks and was supposed to stay only for 1. Definetly a nice place to stay if you want privacy ! Daniel is awesome as well ! Loved him !

5 STARS all the way around for Miki’s house. She was amazing to work with, her house was so cool and super close to the beach. We loved the vibe, the plants, the pool, everything was spot on!

The location was great and close to playa Guasacate. The house was very spacious and the pool and outside areas are great for lounging. Karina was an incredible host with wonderful local recommendations and very responsive. We would book with Karina again anytime!

We stayed in the house next to the pool, the accommodation met all our expectations, it is very spacious, the kitchen had everything necessary to organize our meals and the views are spectacular. The rooms are a good size and well lit. We were also lucky enough to be able to participate in an event/meeting that John had organized and that included a very complete dinner in a super family atmosphere. I recommend asking John about his events and trying to coordinate your stay with one of them to live that experience too. Thank you for everything John, we will definitely be back!

The stay was nice and pleasant. The pool was refreshing and clean. The house had everything it promised. This has nothing to do with the host or the house, but as a suggestion, bring insect repellent to be ready at night for mosquitoes and other additional insects. Above all, we loved the stay, thanks

It was a great stay at the lovely house inside a gated community. The private beach access was perfect. It’s a beautiful place. There are few details which would make the stay even better especially outdoors but the good price made it up for it. I had a great work flow, even though at certain times of the day it got very hot in the house which was then the perfect time to go for a swim. I slept very good, the area is very quiet. There are few small local tiendas on the road to find fruit & vegetables as well as basic groceries-if you come without a car like me. The massage at Casa marimba was a highlight. If you seek some quiet time to focus on work or other projects without getting distracted/disturbed much, this is the perfect place.

We had the pleasure of staying at La Giralda. The view was amazing and everything is just as described. It’s a great place to take a step back, relax and enjoy nature. The monkeys and the birds greeted us every morning. We also saw a bat, a couple of cool squirrels and cicadas. Luis really went out of his way to provide great local recommendations and was super attentive to my family and I. Always willing to help and extremely friendly. There’s no doubt we will be staying at La Giralda again.

The landscape and scenery were just spectacular! The place was so immaculately landscaped with plenty of lounge chairs and hammocks for relaxing. The caretaker was super helpful in getting us tours, restaurant suggestions and taking care of whatever we needed. The lake was beautiful and perfect temperature to swim in. We heard monkeys, roosters and tons of birds. It was a lovely jungle experience. The last night we had a major thunderstorm that lasted all night and we lost power so that was exciting and added to the full Nicaraguan experience. The road to get to the house is well paved, except the last 1/4 mile or so which was a rough dirt road so make sure you have an suv. I would definitely stay here again and for longer next time. There are restaurants a half mile away that are quite nice with equally great views.

Jim’s place was beautiful, clean and private ! Great getaway ! Jim was very responsive and very attentive! 100 percent recommended.

Corrin and Jacq were exceptional hosts. Always present and super diligent. The house, in turn, is perfect: excellent location, equipped with everything you need (and more) and extremely comfortable and pleasant. It was an incredible experience, which I recommend to everyone (especially to those who surf, given the two “world class” waves located within the condominium).

We had a great stay at this Airbnb in San Juan del Sur. The location could not be better—just one block from the beach and within walking distance to the best restaurants, the malecón, and a small marina area. It is in a mixed neighborhood, but that is something quite typical for Nicaragua and adds to the local charm. If you come with realistic expectations, this place is truly a great option. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning, which was a huge plus, and a small kitchenette for simple meals. One of the best parts was the convenience of having a small pulpería (local store) right next door. The lady who runs it also handles the keys and was incredibly helpful at any time, day or night. It felt like staying in a real community. Victoria was super friendly and always available to answer questions. Her presence next door made things even easier, and we could get anything we needed directly from her store. We definitely plan to return!

Elena’s casita was amazing! It’s furnished cute, the appliances are new and the kitchen was well equipped. The AC blew cold and the shower was hot! Those are luxuries in that area. Houses in this part of the world/in this price range can feel infiltrated by outdoor pests or mold, but this casita was super clean and we had zero issues with bugs. We loved our stay and the privacy of our own home and gated backyard. Very relaxing. Walking distance to Guacaste surf break. We had a lot of travel hiccups making it to Nica, and Elena and JJ were super responsive and helpful. Fresh towels and sheets were delivered to us weekly too, which was great. 5/5, we loved the place!

We wish we could have stayed longer! The views were absolutely spectacular, and Oscar was an amazing. Highly recommend this place!

Enjoyed my stay. Super friendly and helpful staff. Easy to get around. Peaceful lounge areas and always clean. The perfect place for a surf trip in Popoyo. I felt right at home immediately.
