Cottage vacation rentals in Lake Balaton

We were able to spend the weekend in a very nice and calm environment, I can only recommend it!

We recently stayed at a beautiful cozy country home in Hungary with the whole family, and it was a wonderful experience. Each of us had our own room, all of which were beautifully furnished and had their own bathrooms. The large living room and dining room provided plenty of space for us to relax and enjoy meals together, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking. We also really enjoyed the outdoor area, especially the pool and whirlpool, which were great for both relaxation and fun. The kids loved the trampoline and had plenty to keep them entertained. Overall, this vacation home was perfect for our family. It was comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed for a great stay. We look forward to visiting again!

Great place worth the price, we recommend for all families who want to spend a holiday and take a break from the hustle and bustle. You could feel right at home. All consistent with the description. We wish every host is like Zoltán.

The house was perfect in every way. It was suitable for 4 adults with two small children: well-equipped kitchen, clean yard, toys, quiet location .

Very nice place for the family in a quiet and relaxed environment. A large clean pool and also many play opportunities such as badminton and frisbee. In addition, there was a daily visit from the hostess's two trusting cats. Thanks for the great place to stay.

Really nice and comfortable summer house with everything you might need. Spacious - it was way bigger than we needed. Great terrace, view and green surroundings. Perfect for families with 1-2 children or small groups of friends.

The house is spacious, comfortable, with exciting furnishings, and the kitchen is well-equipped. My daughter enjoyed the gallery nook. We got in easily, the hosts were easy to reach, and they tried to fix the problem quickly. They were also flexible when checking out. We arrived during the fall break, we were lucky with the weather, so the heating was enough for us. There is a restaurant nearby, and the neighborhood is quiet and calm. Also ideal for hiking.

We were there with 2 families and it was very comfortable place to stay. Judit was very kind and also the neighbour who helps checkin. We were welcomed warmly. You can have very nice trips at the surrounding nature. And the garden is also a good place to rest.

We were at the accommodation with our children. As described, a very good vibe, kind, peaceful, comfortable house away from the noise of the world. At the same time, there are many beautiful sights ( castles, stupa, castle, Lake Balaton) easily accessible by car. The stove keeps the heat surprisingly long, so we woke up in the morning in good heat. The kitchen is fully equipped! Ildikó is a very attentive host, he explains everything about heating, electricity, and he was waiting for us with delicious noodles! I recommend this place for nature lovers if you hide from the world.

We stayed at Marti’s with my family (3 kids and 5 adults) and had an amazing time! Marti is lovely, the house is beautiful, clean and well equipped and the area is gorgeous. We look forward to coming again!

We had a lovely stay! Quiet place in the middle of the vineyards overlooking Lake Balaton. Good communication with the host who is also a winemaker and where we can taste his wine (delicious!).

Our stay was fine. After the hustle and bustle of Budapest, we were looking for a quiet area. The distance to Lake Balaton may be a bit more remote. But for us that was fine for now. We'd love to come back.

Quiet, private little area a few minutes walk to the beach. The reality is even more beautiful than the pictures. We were satisfied with everything. The kitchen is full of spices, so there are no surprises when cooking when baking. (later, the spices will be replaced.) It's a plus point for us that the owner didn't push anything (with drink, food), because in return, you always have to talk and most of our experience don't notice it from a nice word... The owner is unnoticed here. The more comfortable don't have to cook breakfast, because there's a cozy breakfast shop a few doors up. But we can also find a breakfast place by walking down to the beach. The beach is cultured and reasonably priced. I especially liked the fact that you can stay in the beach area for free after 19:00 until midnight. You can walk back and enjoy the sunset over a bottle of wine. But I also recommend the vineyards on the mountain, because there are cool music programs and the sunset is beautiful from there.

We stayed at Beata's placed with family and friends. It's a very lovely house situated in a small village. The public beach and some small restaurants are walkable distance, same as the train station. Highly recommended place, I would go back.

A fab little house, which was perfect for our family of three. It has some lovely touches and really does feel like a much loved family holiday home. We did have problem with mosquitoes over the first few days, but a can of bug spray dealt with the issue! The a/c in the main living space was much needed given the extreme heat, but a fan in the bedrooms would also have been of benefit, as given the mosquitoes we found leaving the windows open wasn’t an option! Great village, with nice local beach front, and close to a number of other villages with a range of restaurants and bars… we loved Lake Balaton and look forward to returning to the area.

A very nice, fairytale cottage with a large garden and a pleasant sitting in the pergola with a grill. I rate perfect communication. Everything has been explained to us in detail. Vintage style khalouka with lots of beautiful decorations, and period, hand carved cupboards. The place is very clean and fragrant. There were towels, cleaning supplies, and everything you need for the normal run of the household. I like to recommend for myself. My first impression can be described in one word "wow"
