Cottage vacation rentals in La Orotava

Great accommodation, fabulous location and stunning views. This rural area is very quiet and with no light pollution clear night skies are just magical. Mostly the temperature this high up is lower than the coast but not always. The coast, which you can see from the terrace, is 20 minutes away by car. The house is modern and attention has been paid to the things that matter. A perfect base for us. The journey up from Arafo is steep for many kms and roads are narrow but often one-way. You do need google maps though – our rental car did not have a sat nav. We found the house in the dark and pouring rain. Juan was very helpful and responded very quickly. Without him we would have had real difficulties with replacing our car which had a puncture and no repair kit or locking nuts on board. Car rental company Record Go (via Opodo) was worse than useless. For organic fruit & veg: La Albahaca in Arafo and La Tajea in Mercado de Santa Cruz. For eggs: Juan’s hens! We will revisit. Loved it.

My boyfriend and I had such a lovely time staying here. The views are absolutely amazing, and the house is beautiful and rustic. The terrace is very spacious, and there is a little garden that attracts lots of little birds. The whole house is dreamy and surrounded by cute flowers and native plants. We loved using the log burner in the evenings, as it sometimes got quite chilly; this made it even more cosy and homely. Having a car is essential to stay here (and also to explore the rest of the island). There's a Lidl and Aldi nearby and plenty of great restaurants and beaches. Thank you so much for having us!

Outstanding location with absolutely mesmerising views !! Away from the cluttered cities surrounded by vineyards I would highly recommend for those seeking a getaway in Tenerife. The places has not only views to offer , fully equipped with all sorts of amenities that one would ever wish for. Ellen is a great host very responsive and helpful. I would definitely be coming back for more !!!

We had a wonderful stay at in La Florida and would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday away. The house and gardens were exactly as shown in the photos and a wonderful place to relax. We really enjoyed the wood burning hot tub, we purchased additional wood from the Repsol garage. The drive to the house was steep but very manageable for a confident driver. Initially we were given keys to only one of the apartments however as this had two single beds we requested the keys to the second place as this had a double bed and Susana was very accommodating in providing these.

The property is lovely and everything you need for relaxing getaway. We loved the outside area, Al fresco at its finest. Supermarket is situated at the bottom of the road, 5-10 minute walk. Puerto del La Cruz is only a 15 minute drive and playa El Bollullo is on 15 minute drive, bit of a walk down to the beach, but well worth it. also the restaurant at the top is lovely, with a great back drop. If you want a relaxing getaway away from the hussle and bussle, then this is the place for you. Wake up to beautiful views of Tiede and the sea. what more could you want. See you next time.

The Villa was absolutely beautiful, a pleasure to return to after a day out and perfect for 5 adults and a 2 year old. The Villa was spotless and there was plenty of linen for a two week stay. There is everything you can wish for in the Villa. There is a lovely pool on site, cold water but refreshing on a warm day. The Villa is within easy reach of two Supermarkets and shops and a five minute walk to the regular Adeje Market. An 8 minute walk will bring you to the delightful beaches of Del Duque. The host is super responsive, all in all a great place to be.

A nice house in a beautiful location, the garden, and the views of Tiede from it, are absolutely stunning. The house was clean and well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Maykel is responsive and answered any queries we had promptly. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful week staying at Jonathan’s place. Enjoyed the hours spent in the hot tub with a wonderful view. You will need a car, but highly recommended.

Quiet house in the heights with beautiful view. Central location 3/4 hour max from the East Coast, West Coast and Teide. Spiral staircase to access the bedrooms and the only small bathroom. Gas stove and fireplace welcome to warm the house. Laying hens but leaving their droppings all over the place. Haydée was always very responsive to all our requests and recommended a good restaurant very close by. We recommend for country lovers.

We had a great time here! The house is very close to nearby restaurants (2-4 minute walk), pools in the sea (20 minute walk) and has a nice view of the sea. The town itself is quiet and has everything you need, the nearby market offers all necessary things. We would definitely visit again!

The cottage was perfect for our stay in Tenerife with a beautiful garden to enjoy outside with a very nice sea view. Lara and her family were very accommodating and kind. She was very responsive to our requests and gave us good restaurant recommendations. I would recommend this place without hesitation.

The accommodation is very well placed to avoid taking the car. Hikes are accessible from the village. Very well equipped for our 17-month-old son. Thanks for the eggs and oranges, that was very nice.

Great stay surrounded by nature in a place that had everything we needed for a few days. The outdoor seating for breakfast, donkeys in the backyard and a fireplace for the evenings were our highlights! Thanks Pedro for a brilliant few days.

The vacation at the place was very nice. The apartment completely matches the listing. It is relatively new and nothing is missing. We only communicated with the co-host Carlos, who contacted us a few days before arrival and was our first point of contact. He was super nice and always available and gave us many tips and recommendations.

Sergej personally welcomed us and made every effort to ensure our satisfaction. Communication with him was quick and effective. The house is old and full of small details and the kitchen is equipped with everything needed. The garden invites you to linger and the views are breathtaking.

This was my first trip abroad solo, I stayed here for 5 days and it was more than worth the price I paid. It's very private but still local enough to get to places such as hikes, restaurants and beaches. Ana was an amazing host, offering great recommendations to places.

A really lovely traditional casa rural. If you are looking for peace and quiet, good space and spectacular views this is the perfect place. The gas heater and dressing gowns helped temper the cooler evenings. The outside space is also fantastic and the house is well equipped.

The place is impeccable. Superb view of all the rooms. BellesTerrasses. Francisco is very friendly and communicating even if it was complicated because we don't speak Spanish at all. In short, no complaints. We'll be happy to go back if we come back to Tenerife.

The villa was lovely, had all the amenities needed and a lovely view. The towels were lovely and the robes a nice extra touch. The only thing I would recommend changing is that I found the pillows a bit hard and uncomfortable. This is just my preference. The shower down stairs also took a while to drain so we did have to keep turning shower off for it to drain. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, alba sent us loads of information on the area and restaurants which were really useful! Thank you!
