It was the best accommodation.The location and cleanliness were better than I imagined.

The exterior and interior were very stylish and everyone had a tension!There was also a sauna and fireplace, and I enjoyed it like I was at the villa.If I ever come back to Shodoshima, I'd love to stay here again.

We just stayed again with our dogs. The staff is so friendly and the rooms are clean, spacious and well-designed. We will definitely stay again!

Alan and Reiko went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to ease certain travel pains. We were celebrating a birthday and they were kind of enough to arrange a cake from the mainland, they helped us locate a camera left on the ferry, they facilitated a bike rental, they gave us rides when we needed them, the list goes on. We were lucky enough to eat at their newly opened restaurant, and had the most incredible meal - probably the best we have eaten in Japan thus far! This is to say nothing of their lovely property, which is sublime. We stayed in the queen villa and were able to look out at the beautiful garden foregrounding the sea and sky. The historic buildings were breathtaking, with modern touches to ensure our comfort. I especially enjoyed the espresso machine in the mornings! I look forward to someday returning to this incredibly beautiful and peaceful spot, thank you Alan and Reiko for a memorable family birthday weekend!

The room was clean and tidy, the environment was peaceful and comfortable, the host was very kind and responsive and very satisfied.

We had a comfortable stay here, and the GPS location sent to me was accurate. So, I could check in late at night easily. Also, there was enough space to park the car, and the convenience store was so close, a 5-minute driving distance. The place was extremely clean and matched the description and photos provided. The equipment and other stuff were easy to use, and we had cooked a great dinner here. Thank you Kana, for preparing the place for us; we had a very comfortable stay and rest here.

We loved the wilderness vibe, and thought the very narrow road to get to the house was best taken slow, and in daylight. The turnoff from highway 12 is not well signed, but we did not miss it. Following directions to the shrine will help find it. We were inspired by the labor of love that created this place, and the geniality of the hosts. There is a small Cafe and karaoke too if you are in the mood! We were very happy that we chose this place to stay and are already hoping for a return. Highly recommended.
