Beautiful, tranquil & restorative retreat space in old growth trees, near a flowing stream. Only seven minutes from the center of town, yet world's away from the hustle & bustle of life...this is a sweet space to let go of busy-ness, & drop into a slower, more gentle pace.
This two-floor apartment & the adjoining home are a nurturing, safe haven for those who are EMF & chemically sensitive. Wired/ always on, fast internet. 2-50 ft. ethernet cords, adapters for Macs & other laptops provided.
The space
Upstairs, plenty of windows afford tree-top views. In the summer, the cool evening air is delicious, as the sound of the stream and the breeze through the trees lulls you to sleep on a luxuriously comfortable, king sized, organic (Tempurpedic type) mattress. Downstairs, there is a new queen sized sleeper sofa and bedding.
Fully equipped kitchen with full size appliances, toaster, blender, juicer, drip coffee maker, filters, organic coffee beans and grinder, organic vegan powdered creamer and teas available. Sweeteners, organic spices, and some condiments in cabinet. Well water to the whole house is filtered, pure and delicious to drink and bathe in!
There is a path with stairs and railing down to the stream. There are benches at the top, in the middle of the path, and stream-side. During the warm months, there is a lightweight 2 person hammock for your use, overlooking the stream. It is the perfect place to rest, read, meditate or nap to the sound of the water and birds.
In the living room, there is a 60 inch(with optional 3D capability) TV with Cable, Netflix and a Blu-Ray DVD player. DVDs, 3D glasses, books and games are provided for your enjoyment. Yoga mats available in a basket upstairs.
There is a beautiful music sanctuary/event room with plenty of seating and a grand piano on the property. This private section of the house is available separately if you are facilitating or teaching a group or event in the area. Contact hostess for details.

With respect and care for your well-being and mine, this is a smoke, fragrance and radiation free home and property. Only unscented, non-toxic cleaning products used. No microwaves, WiFi, Bluetooth use or smart meters on the property. No Pets or Service Animals due to health reasons.
Care is taken to clean and sanitize well for everyone's safety and well being, and the apartment has it's own heating & air system.

Please be mindful to place your CELL PHONES IN AIRPLANE MODE and turn your cell phones completely off before entering the house each time you arrive. Also, please make sure that the WiFi, Hotspot and Bluetooth are disabled on your laptops. (I and other guests in the main part of the house are uncomfortably sensitive to these fields of radiation, can hear and feel them, and have difficulty sleeping because of it.)
Please... NO SCENTED PRODUCTS (including essential oils) on body or clothes the day you will arrive and during your stay here, and no "skunk weed" in the house, as scents tend to permeate the air and move into the rest of the home, bedding and towels, and linger long after guests have departed.
*Use of queen sized fold out bed for a stay booked for 2 people, will be an additional $20/night, and will be billed as a separate charge due at time of booking.
*** IF booking a 2 week or longer stay, a 2nd cleaning fee will be assessed and a 4-5 hour cleaning will be scheduled mid way through your stay. (Change sheets, wash towels, and general cleaning.) We ask that you leave the premises for this cleaning. If you would like to have more frequent cleanings scheduled, this can be arranged.
Guest access
Please park in the circular drive (on the inside of the fence), near the front door-on the side closest to the front yard (so that other cars may pull through). There is a well lit gravel path from that area through the front yard, to the back yard, to your private entrance. The kitchen and living room are downstairs and the bedroom and bath are upstairs.
The backyard has a private sitting area just for you, where you can read, work, dine or just listen to the stream. There is also a lovely deck in the trees, just outside your bedroom, for dining, yoga and lounging. This one deck is a common space adjoining the main house as well, that won't be used while you are using it.
