Other things to note
Care and respect:
We’ve put a lot of love into curating this two‑story chalet to give you that true treehouse vibe in the Sierras. Please treat it as you would your own home. If something breaks or goes wrong, just let us know—we understand that things happen, it's no biggie. Most things can be fixed. Just let us know and we’ll work with you to make things right so you have an amazing stay.
Local support:
Peter, your local host, lives nearby and can assist if needed, but no one is on‑site during your stay—so you have the place to yourself.
Pets:
We welcome up to 2 well‑behaved dogs of any size. Please clean up after them and keep them off beds and furniture. One flat pet fee per stay.
Winter travel:
During winter months we strongly recommend a 4WD or AWD vehicle with snow tires or chains to navigate mountain roads safely.
Connectivity:
Cell coverage is limited here; Wi‑Fi calling works well and there’s a landline for local calls and emergencies (including 911).
Fire safety:
Due to forest‑fire risk, no smoking, charcoal, wood‑burning fires or open flames are allowed anywhere on the property, with the exception of the provided propane BBQ and propane fire table which are available for use on the deck (propane provided).
Power outages:
The power company PGE will sometimes cut power due to forest fire precaution, and in winter sometimes power outages may occur. There is a backup generator with instructions in case of such an emergency.
Booking fees transparency:
To ensure a comfortable and hassle-free stay, our pricing includes a thorough cleaning service between every guest visit, reflected in a fair cleaning fee. This helps us maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and care, including fresh linens and towels.
We welcome up to 8 guests, with an extra guest fee per night applied for stays exceeding 2 guests to cover additional cleaning and supplies required.
Our goal is to provide transparent pricing with no hidden charges so you can relax and enjoy your stay in our unique Sierra Treehouse Chalet.
Travel safely, and we look forward to having you stay at the Sierra Treehouse Chalet!
