The space
This cabin was newly constructed in 2022 with high-end, beautiful finishes, and it has been featured and recommended as the top pick for an Ellijay, GA rental cabin by Blue Ridge Mountain Life. The home is a spacious three level modern cabin with mountain views from all bedrooms and the lofted bedroom. There is a Hot Tub, Foosball Table, Arcade Games, Board Games, as well as Samsung Smart TV's throughout the home including two separate indoor living spaces, all three bedrooms and the lofted bedroom area. Gas grill and full kitchen available for all of your cooking needs. Downstairs has a wet bar with a beverage refrigerator for your use. The cabin is located in the beautiful Coosawattee River Resort. Guests have access to all community amenities (gym, pools, tennis, pickle ball, basketball, mini-golf, parks, fishing pond, suspension bridge, etc.). There are all paved and well-maintained roads traveling to and from the home.
Guest access
You get access to the whole house for the duration of your stay. There are two locked owners' closets downstairs. We will send you the check-in details the day before you arrive. We provide every guest a unique key code for the front door. There is no need to meet up beforehand for keys or anything else. Please start enjoying the cabin upon your arrival.
Hosts will need to provide the Coosawattee guard personnel the names of all the guests at least 48 hours before your stay so that you will be able to enter the community. Hosts will also need a copy of the booking individual's driver’s license before the reservation can be confirmed.
The drive to the home is on all paved and well-maintained roads. We do suggest in winter months double checking the weather forecast before your arrival and throughout the duration of your stay. Snow and ice have occasionally made the roads dangerous to drive, so it is important to be aware of the forecast to plan accordingly. In the unlikely event the roads become too treacherous to drive, we also suggest having enough food and supplies for two days just to be safe.
Other things to note
This is our family cabin that we intend to use at various times throughout the year, but we want to share it with others when we are unable to be there. We are not a big corporate vacation rental, and we sincerely hope every guest enjoys the home just as we hope to with our family for years to come. We love our cabin and just ask that guests please be considerate and responsible during their stay.
The cabin sleeps 10 with 2 king beds and 1 queen bed each in its own dedicated bedroom. The lofted fourth bedroom has 2 full beds and a twin trundle bed. The loft has a barn door for privacy, as well as a desk for working remotely. There is a second workspace located downstairs, as well.
We kindly ask that you adhere to our 10 guest maximum occupancy requirements. If you bring more guests than accounted for on your reservation, you are in violation of the house rules and subject to a cancellation of your reservation.
We apologize but we are unable to accept pets due to family members' allergies. If you are found to have brought a pet of any kind to the home, you are in violation of the house rules and subject to a cancellation of your reservation.
All guests must be 25+ years old except for kids accompanied by their parents.
No parties or unauthorized large gatherings. If you are found to have a party or unauthorized large gatherings, you are subject to a cancellation of your reservation.
Samsung Smart TV's can be found in both indoor living spaces, as well as in each bedroom and the loft area. Samsung TV Plus is provided on all televisions. Please feel free to log into your personal accounts with your favorite streaming services while at the cabin. Please remember to log out of the applications upon departure.
There is 1 Gb high speed internet throughout the home with super pod boosters that provide consistent internet throughout the home.
We have two cameras/floodlights located outside of the home on the roofline solely to view the driveway for your protection, as well as a doorbell camera located on the porch for security. There is also a camera on the downstairs porch which captures the stair entrance which is away from all living areas (and hot tub area), again for your protection. The floodlights are motion-sensored and very helpful at night. If a guest repositions or tampers with any of the cameras, then all guests will unfortunately be asked to check out and depart immediately. This is for your safety and protection.
The cabin is located on a mountain in the woods. You will see and hear animals. There are numerous deer throughout the entire resort so please be careful when driving the roadway. There is no attic, so when it rains, you may hear it. Bears are rare, but they are commonly seen in the area. Please do not leave any food or trash outside for this reason. A bear-safe trash receptacle is found on the property, and we ask that you utilize this for trash disposal. If you see a bear, stay away from it and do not feed it. Bears are very dangerous.
The hot tub is emptied, refilled and treated before each guest. Please read the hot tub rules before use. Use the hot tub at your own risk. You should not use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol or if you are pregnant. Children are not permitted in the hot tub without adult supervision. Also, please do not adjust the temperature over 102 degrees for safety reasons. Please do not allow the water level to ever go below the jets. Water should be added after each use.
Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. and check-in begins at 4:00 p.m., both Eastern Standard Time. Early check-ins and late check-outs are not available because our cleaning team operates on a very specific and tight schedule. If guests do not vacate the cabin by 10:00 a.m. on their scheduled departure date, there will be a $50 fee for the first 30 minutes overstayed and $100 fee for each subsequent 30-minute period overstayed.
There are no refunds for bad weather, excessive rain, snow, hurricanes and other natural disasters, power outages and other events or conditions that are out of our control.
We provide a starter kit of two rolls of paper towels (one upstairs and one downstairs), a couple of rolls of septic-safe toilet paper, a new dish sponge, one dishwasher pod and one laundry detergent pod, and some coffee to get you started. Hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner are provided for guests in all three bathrooms. We do not provide food, condiments or drinks. Extra items needed are the responsibility of the guest. Also, please keep all dishwasher and laundry detergent pods away from children. Please also keep children away from any kitchen knives provided in the home.
The gas fireplaces have very detailed instructions for usage located near each fireplace. They can be tricky, so please let us know if you have difficulty operating the fireplaces. These are for seasonal use, and operation cannot be guaranteed. Please use the fireplaces responsibly and always turn them off when not in use. Please keep children and objects away from the flame. Please do not attempt to cook or heat any food over the flame or in the fireplace units, as this could damage the ceramic logs. This unfortunately means no smores! Guests should not attempt to move or touch the ceramic logs, as it could cause damage or serious injuries. There are fire extinguishers available under the kitchen sink, as well as under the wet bar sink downstairs.
SMOKING or vaping of any kind is prohibited on the premises. This includes the driveway, porches and all living spaces both indoor and outdoor. We are a completely smoke free rental.
Absolutely no candles or open flames of any sort (other than those in the gas fireplaces) permitted at any time.
No glitter of any kind.
No weapons or fireworks are permitted on the premises.
The driveway fits a maximum of 4 vehicles.
If you see anything broken or in need of repair, please let us know immediately. We will do our best to replace the broken item or have it repaired as soon as possible, but this is dependent upon maintenance staff availability. Unfortunately, there are times where we are unable to get someone out there during your stay, but we will do our best.
Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Airbnb requires that hosts provide guests check-out instructions before booking. Our cabin's check-out instructions are very simple and include basic things like running the dishwasher before you leave, placing garbage in the trash receptacle outside, putting the hot tub cover on, double checking that all fireplaces are off, setting the A/C or heat back to 65 degrees, turning off all TV's, lights and appliances, and closing/locking all windows and doors. Our cleaning team will strip the beds, wash the dirty towels, etc.
Detailed instructions are provided in the welcome book in the home, but we will send any updated or additional instructions the day before check-in.
