The space
Riad Dar Chalouine, our Favorite Riad just a few minutes stroll from the iconic Jemmaa El Fna Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nestled in the tranquil and secure Bab Doukkala neighborhood, our Riad offers convenient vehicle access right up to the doorstep (More convenient). You can easily explore the Bab Doukala district from this haven, wander through the bustling medina and its vibrant souks, and venture into the nearby quarter of Gueliz and the Yves Saint Laurent house.
On the ground floor, discover the kitchen where your breakfasts are expertly prepared each morning (included), served either in the dining area or on the Rooftop. The lounge features a TV area and a cozy space by the wood-burning fireplace, adorned with spacious sofas and armchairs. Don't miss the splendid, luminous patio with a fountain and citrus trees, including lemon, mandarin, and orange.
We have 6 beautiful rooms including an exquisite suite, 4 of them lining a charming green zellige-tiled corridor on the first floor, one bedroom overlooking the patio, and the last one in the Roof terrace (Small with two separated beds). Each room can be configured with either a double bed or two singles. Every air-conditioned room (with a heating system) has its bathroom, while the master suite also features a luxurious bathtub.
On the Rooftop terrace, a heated pool awaits, accompanied by a sunbathing area, a winter lounge, a shaded dining space, and a cozy seating area in front of a fireplace for cooler winter evenings. The panoramic view of the Atlas Mountains and the Koutoubia Mosque from the pool is truly unforgettable! Moreover, a remote-controlled retractable Roof can enclose the patio during winter to retain warmth.
Amenities
Riad Dar Chalouine is equipped for your comfort with complimentary high-speed fiber optic WiFi. Guests have access to all areas except the laundry room (with a washing machine available under staff supervision at an additional cost). While the kitchen is accessible, meal preparation is not permitted for hygiene and safety reasons.
During your stay, Rachida and Malika, our housekeeper and cook, will be on hand every day from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm to take care of you, serve you breakfast, and clean your rooms (included.)

Other things to note
Riad Dar Chalouine is a private riad, it is our home. We trust you with our house keys and trust that you will care for our house as you would with yours in a respectfull way.
Under Moroccan law, no unmarried Moroccan couples are allowed to stay at Riad Dar Chalouine.
For the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, no noise-generating parties or celebrations may be held at the Riad. No loud music day or night.
Rooms are non-smoking.
For security reasons, cameras are installed in the Riad's entrance doors.
If a key is lost you will be charged 25€ for its replacement.
If you lock yourself out you will be charged 25€ for someone to come and let you in (no one will be available between 22h and 08h)
- Inviting unregistered guests or bringing individuals from outside the booking party into the Riad is strictly prohibited. Any violation will result in immediate cancellation of the stay and removal from the property without refund.
Please do not dispose of anything in the toilets other than toilet paper.
Tampons, daipers etc must be disposed of in the bins provided in each bathroom.
Please make sure the rétractable roof is closed whenever you leave the riad.
