Small Paradise above the Walensee

A beautiful old countryside home, lovely furnished in a paradise-like setting. The house is perfect for people who are looking to get a break from the big, loud world or would like to discover the beautiful Swiss mountains by foot. If you are coming by public transport you will need to hike one hour on a very beautiful hiking path (Weesen - Quinten). If you decide to come by car you will only need to hike 15min from the parking lot to the house. We highly recommend to wear good hiking shoes.

Dear guests, Alex or I will welcome you personally and show you the 2-room- The sun runs around the whole house, which makes the apartment very bright and friendly. Due to the age of the house, the apartment is furnished in a bright vintage style. You can look out at the mountains from every window. The apartment is located in a cozy old building from 1914 on the second floor in the center of Amden. Chairlift, hiking trails, indoor pool, ski school and beautiful nature are at your doorstep.

In 2004 I got the chance to design my own family's week-end house in the village Pigniu. This fabulous place at 1300 meters above sea in the Surselva Region of Graubünden province, above the Town Ilanz, was well-known to me, for my parents owned an old farmhouse until the 1980ies here. The Spiral shaped chalet has the form of a band, changing from concrete in the base to wooden shingles upwards. The house is designed to connect us to the landscape we love. You will heat with chopped wood.

This stylish home is perfect for holidays in the Glarus mountains. Hiking, swimming, surfing, stand-up paddling, climbing, jogging, walking, skiing, beautiful nature. Culturally, the Glarus region offers a lot, e.g. Anna Göli Museum, Kunsthaus, Historical Museum, original villages e.g. Ennenda, Elm, Diesbach and much more. Not suitable for small children, because of the glass stairs. In the middle of the Ennendan village center, including church bells. But very little traffic.

Erlebe erholsame Tage in dieser neurenovierten Wohnung in einem geschichtsträchtigen Haus. Die Wohnung ist stilvoll und familienfreundlich eingerichtet. Sommerabende können auf dem eigenen Sitzplatz mit Grill verbracht werden, im Winter ist der alte Kachelofen ein idealer Ort, um sich aufzuwärmen. Das hauseigene Fitness steht zur Mitnutzung zur Verfügung. Im Winter ist man mit dem Auto in 10 Minuten an der Talstation des Skigebiets, im Sommer in 10 Minuten am See.

The apartment is located in a Villa constructed in 1902. It was completely renovated in 2012 and refurnished with loving attention to details. The apartment is ideal for small groups and families as well as for individuals. In total, there are four rooms which provide space for six people (two double-beds and one double sleeping-sofa). The studio is set at the edge of the village center of Weesen in a quiet residential area. The lake is 150 m away. Excursions to the region are perfectly possible due to the perfect transport connections. Together with the regions of Heidiland, Glarnerland, St. Gallen and Lake Zurich, the excursion possibilities within an hour's drive are almost endless. The village center can be reached on foot in a few minutes.
