Vacation rentals with breakfast in Gjirokastër

Andi siempre respondió mis preguntas de forma rápida. el que nos recibió fue su padre. un señor muy amable que nos despidió con mucho cariño y con comida tradicional de la región...nos regaló frutas de su jardín, la casa tenía una vista del valle y estaba a unos minutos de la zona turística a unos metros de la casa dejamos el auto sin ningún problema. para mi familia estuvo como en casa, lo recomiendo.

Utterly charming house, great hosts, delicious breakfast, and the view is absolutely insane. Highly recommend! but if you’re driving make sure to follow the map directions the host provides because google maps is VERY wrong and driving in the old town is really tricky!

Don't think about it. Just book this place now! This was exactly the kind of place I was looking for. I was staying in Sarande at a hotel prior to booking this place. The hotel was great but I wanted something closer to the REAL Albania. I found it here. I was actually surprised that I found this place on Airbnb. It was old school Airbnb...where someone opens up their home to you and you are able to experience the hospitality of the host or hostess. It's not your typical Airbnb place either. This is a typical family farm that is found in so many places in eastern Europe. It is not the kind of farm you would find in Canada or the US that are hundred of acres in size. The home is situated on about 0.5 acres or 0.2 hectares of land surrounded by the typical rock walls you find surrounding many homes in Albania. What kind of animals do you find here? Chickens, sheep, goats, rabbits and even ducks. Yes, there is a garden for vegetables and grape vines throughout the property. Please don't think this a petting zoo farm... this is a working family farm that provides food for the family and you if you stay here. It is a modest home that has been in the family for many years, it is on a plot of land that has provided the food and shelter for the family for countless generations. I have nothing but enormous respect for the hostess and her family. It was the kind of home that my parents grew up in Ukraine. This is what attracted me to this place. These people are salt of the earth. Humble, happy and proud. Respect. I could write a short book about my stay here. To sum up, it was wonderful. I have stayed at my fair share of Airbnb places, but this is my most favorite place ever. I did not want to leave and I do plan to return and stay much longer than the ~10 days I was there. What are the highlights of my visit? 1. The hostess Alexandra and her dear mother. Real people. 2. Coffee with fresh goat milk every morning. Yes, it's that good. 3. The sunrise in the valley. Breathtaking. 4. The amazing hikes up the mountain and in through the valley. There are so many ruins and hidden cool places to discover. 5. Taking the goats and sheep grazing in the morning. Yes I did that!!! 6. I'm not going to give it all away...book this place and I'll let you discover all the wonderful things here on your own. Alexandra and her mother don't speak English. This was not a problem at all. I downloaded the microsoft translator to my phone. It allows two people to communicate back and forth at the push of a button. It made communicating with the hostess very easy. I had many wonderful conversations with Alexandra and her dear mother many times using this translator. So you will be just fine. Look... this is a farm. It smells like a farm where the animals live and it has bugs...get over it. If you are looking for Disney World or the Ritz Carlton...look somewhere else. This place is perfect the way it is and I will be returning in the near future. The apartment is clean and well equipped. The internet works great. My cell phone worked just fine. It has a great stove for cooking and a washing machine to wash your clothes. It has a TV, but why would you watch TV when you are in such a wonderful environment to explore? There are places to buy groceries to cook food...OR...you can arrange with Alexandra to prepare meals for you each day. That is what I did. Breakfast and dinner. So I didn't have to cook or buy anything extra to survive. It's up to you. I chose to eat home cooked food from the farm...how can you beat that??? There is so much more to say...but... Don't think about it. Just book this place now!

if you’re here in town, this is a great easy spot to stay and there’s a parking spot. host answered quick and it’s a simple place to sleep and maybe cook a small meal, and spend the day exploring.

De perfecte guesthouse om Gjirokaster te verkennen! Zoek niet verder, gewoon boeken voor het volzet is!!! Geen eigen keuken in het verder authentieke huis, maar een heerlijk en gevarieerd ontbijt staat op het uur dat je wenst voor je klaar op het prachtige binnenpleintje. Wat verderop eet je bij zonsondergang met prachtig uitzicht bij Taverna Panorama Zhuli bij een allerliefst koppel en ook in Hotel Restaurant Bineri aten we heerlijk!

Wat een fantastische locatie, echt een waanzinnig uitzicht en een fijne plek om te zijn. 2 slaapkamers, een prettige badkamer en een heerlijke tuin en een zitje. De omgeving is rustig en toch vlak onder het kasteel. De bazaar is vlakbij en toch zit je hier heel privé. Lukas en zijn vader zijn erg vriendelijk. Het ontbijt is heerlijk en de bedden slapen goed. Het geeft niet dat je er niet kan koken; na dit ontbijt kan je er voorlopig tegenaan en er zijn goede restaurantjes vlakbij. Echt een aanrader!

Our driver from Tirana got lost but the host helped him find his way on the phone and walked to the town square to meet us AND and carried my bag the whole way back. Our room was GORGEOUS in an absolutely immaculate building. Our host was available every morning at breakfast with a chat and local tips. The rooms were super tidy and comfortable. Honestly I can’t say enough about this place and these people. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else if we get to come back to Gjirokaster. L❤️VE this place!!!

Guva y su marido son divinos. Muy amables. No hablan inglés pero se hacen entender perfectamente. El desayuno es típico, completo y casero. Están atentos a lo que necesites. Nos sentimos muy bien! Lo recomendamos mucho!!

Bledar et son épouse sont très accueillants et disponibles pour rendre le séjour agréable et donner de bons conseils. La chambre est très bien située. A seulement 15 mn du bazar de Gjirokastra. De la chambre on a vue sur le château et c'est très calme.
