Great house, great views. Well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. We would come back. (For small children of walking age, you have to consider that there are many stairs). We would come back.

A really nicely done space that was pleasant to stay. Quiet & relaxing. Great host! Even gave us Americans our extra needed coffee 😎. Able to cook there too. Nice small market next door. Several typical restaurants on the same block. Close drive to the beautiful Comporta beach area. At dusk, there are a lot of mosquitoes outside, so bring bug spay.

Highly recommend if you like a quieter place to stay. Lovely pool. Car highly recommended to visit the local beaches and towns.

Can not recommend this place enough. It ticks all the boxes. From family entertainment to peaceful couples retreat, it has it all. Sitting on top of the mountain with quiet peaceful areas where you watch the sunset with a beautiful breathtaking view.

Lia's place is a tiny apartment with a separate entrance. The apartment is part of her house. There are a lot of common areas available for guests to use. I really liked sitting on veranda. The apartment is decorated with great taste. All appliances worked for me. I cooked there about 1 meal every second day. Lia was kind to provide me with a large sauce pan so that I can make my favorite soup.

If you want a real local Sintra experience then this is your place. Charming house with a lot of character, charm and history. We were a group of 6 and cooked in for dinner 2 of the three nights. Very close to town center for walking. It’s a very hilly town so if you like walking it’s great for you. Maria could not have been nicer.

Vera is truly an amazing hostess! She went out of her way to accomodate my recent medical issues and even offered to have me stay in her own home for the duration of our 5 day visit. The house is close to Obidos, Ericeira, Sintra many awesome Portuguese "must sees" and is a 15 minute drive to the ocean. Situated in the middle of beautiful rolling hills and vineyards, with outstanding local wines (which she gifted us with), it is an old, and partly new, generational estate and we could see and enjoy much history and hospitality of their family. This place is worth every penny and we hope to be back and we will recommend our family from the US to stay here when they visit Portugal.

Elio was very helpful at every step, answering every query within minutes. The place was as described and had everything we needed for a family holiday especially as Elio managed to get two cots and two high chairs for us. The location was good and we could walk down to the beach when feeling energetic! It's not a short walk but doable and the alternative cliff top path was very beautiful. Having a car meant we could also explore some of the other lovely beaches and Ericeira itself. We made good use of the covered outdoor barbeque area but the weather wasn't quite good enough for the pool. Altogether a very enjoyable holiday - thank you.

The house was great for our holiday with a young child, lots of space and it had everything you needed. The village is very quiet, walking distance to shops and restaurants and an easy quick journey into Ericera! We loved our stay in Ribamar.

Rita and her husband are some of the nicest humans you will meet. We truly felt welcome and the hospitality overall was outstanding. The location has something special and almost spiritual feeling. The cleanliness was impeccable and they thought of everything you could need or want for a stay. The pool was awesome and felt great after a long day(s) of travel. Thus far this place is by far are favorite stay in Portugal. We wish we would have booked more nights and used this location as a base. We will surely request to stay here on a return trip.

I remember reading a review of one guest saying how this was the nicest ABNB they ever stayed at, and i have to say that this was spot on. the location and view are spectacular. the house excellent. Highly recommend staying here. Host was also very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

Amazing place, the view is so incredible, we spent a really great time at the villa, it is peaceful, beautiful and private! If I come back to Portugal I would definitely want to come back! Thank you again for everything!

We had an amazing, magical stay at Casa Das Rosas. Hugo and Laura are really wonderful hosts. Please follow all their recommendations for things to do in Sintra and beyond. They really made our stay so special. The house is so nicely designed and really comfortable. The small outside sitting area on the cobblestone walkway is perfect for morning coffee. The location is great for walking. The walk to the old part of Sintra takes about 10 minutes. Take the path through the Parque Liberdade to old Sintra. You won’t be sorry . We hope to be able return to Casa Das Rosas. Thank you Hugo & Laura!

The house is situated in an elevated position with great views of the sea and town, set in a large natural garden which you enter through electric gates. There is plenty of space to park your car and you can leave the surfboard on the roof rack confident that nobody can steal it. The house itself is beautifully renovated. Every aspect of it displays good taste. It is well-equipped and everything works perfectly. The location could not be better. A ten-minute walk takes you down through the old town with its many excellent eating places, to the town beach and promenade. The host, Anna, is charming and helpful. In short, we cannot recommend this place too strongly. It is one of the best rental homes we have ever stayed in.

This place was incredibly beautiful and very well appointed. For us, it was a perfect home base to explore from. The gardens of the house were the perfect place to relax and the views were incredibly beautiful. Host was very responsive and helpful with local logistics (we were coming without a car). The only drawback is that the house was quite damp - especially the main bedroom - but even knowing that I'd be tempted to return because of how beautiful it was.

We had a wonderful experience at Maty's Place! From the beginning, we were greeted with great sympathy and attention. The house is extremely cozy, clean and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What impressed us most was the extra accessibility, everything was designed to facilitate access and ensure convenience, which made all the difference. We truly feel at home. I recommend it to everyone looking for a quiet, well-organized place with helpful hosts. We will definitely be back!

Such a beautiful place near to the beach, local restaurants and scenic spots. Sabine and Ana are very responsive and provided us with local recommendations which helped us a lot to see Sintra when we are in town. It may be tricky if you are driving due to the tight parking space, but other than that everything else is amazing.

Xana and David's place just amazing! The quality of what you got far surpassed the amazing photos. More of a driving area but easy to get around with a car and less then 5 minutes from beautiful forests, beaches, surfing, restaurants on the water. On top of all this, our hosts were just lovely. they went over and above for our baby, accomodated all our requests and just made us feel truly welcome in their home. Would 100% stay again and would recommend to anyone!

The view alone makes this place! The position on the cliffside is truly special. We had an amazing afternoon sitting down on the water watching the waves crash over. The bed was also super comfy! We have recommended to our friends!

We had a wonderful time at Franz’s home. The kids loved playing with the toys, we enjoyed the garden and pool as well. The location was perfect. Just a few minutes walk to shops, great restaurants and several wonderful beaches. Frank was super responsive and gave us lots of great local recommendations. We didn’t end up having a car, but it was super easy and affordable to get round and take day trips using Uber. I’d highly recommend this stay!

We stayed here in early May for a long weekend and it exceeded our expectations. The villa is located in unbelievable scenery and has precious antiques and cosy rooms including a fireplace. The place was clean and the kitchen well equipped for our needs. We used Uber to get around and mostly enjoyed the swimming pool which was stunning. The hosts were extremely helpful and attentive and we would definitely come back to this beautiful villa in the future! Thank you Guilherme, Antonio and Maria 🙏🏽
