Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Emmental District

Me and my friends loved our stay at Judith's and Simon's place. It is such a lovely old style chalet, very well equipped, and so cozy, that we felt right at home. The hosts are also such nice people and welcoming. Staying here definitely made our roadtrip to Switzerland more special. We definitely recommend it.

Wir waren zwei Wochen mit Hund und Kind im Hexenhüsli und haben alles, was es für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht, vor Ort gefunden. Der Ort ist wunderschön, die Nachbar*innen sehr freundlich und das Hüsli sehr gemütlich. Das Heizen mit dem Ofen bringt eine besondere Atmosphäre. Die Betreuung von Lehmanns und Frau Schwarzentrub ist absolut vorbildlich. Wir haben noch etwas vergessen und auch da haben sie uns sehr zuvorkommend behandelt.

Dieses Haus ist alles andere als eine 08/15-Unterkunft – es wurde mit viel Herzblut vom Besitzer selbst geplant und eingerichtet. Die persönliche Note ist in jedem Detail spürbar. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich der großzügige Wohnraum und die hervorragend ausgestattete Küche – so gut ausgestattet habe ich selten eine Ferienunterkunft erlebt! Ein echtes Highlight waren die Loftnetze – unser Sohn war begeistert und hat dort sogar geschlafen. Auch die Vielzahl an Spielsachen für Kinder jeden Alters hat für viel Freude gesorgt. Man merkt sofort: Hier kann man nicht nur wohnen, sondern erleben. Wir danken von Herzen für die Möglichkeit, ein paar Tage in diesem ganz besonderen Zuhause verbringen zu dürfen. Wir konnten wunderbar abschalten und die Zeit genießen. Vielen Dank für die herzliche Gastfreundschaft und den persönlichen Empfang – wir reisen mit schönen Erinnerungen im Gepäck ab!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Stöckli während der Weihnachtstage. Das Stöckli bietet viel Platz und ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Es hat alles, was es braucht. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und lädt zum Spazieren ein. Wir und die Kinder haben es sehr genossen. Die Kommunikation mit Claudia war sehr gut. Danke für alles!

Cilene’s place was spotless, cozy, and in a great spot. She was super friendly and quick to respond. Would stay again!

Merci pour l’accueil. C’était un séjour agréable. Le chalet est propre. Un super endroit calme avec une magnifique vue des deux cotés. L’hote était gentille. Elle a laissé les enfants nourrir les antilopes. Je recommande fortement ce chalet.

Fantastic hosts, Dino, Ellen and their dog Luna were waiting for us as we arrived. exactly as photographed and described. you get the whole 3rd floor. it's very private, spacious with well equipped kitchen and lots of nice little touches in the bathroom with plenty of products available. In the kitchen there was tea, coffee and milk available throughout our stay, some jams, cereals and pasta which we did use. perfect location to explore nearby bern or further afield by car or train. lovely neighbourhood. very peaceful with jasmine in the air at night. the old town is peaceful on an evening and the schloss is worth a visit. excellent value and lovely people. highly recommended!

Die Unterkunft sah genauso aus wie auf den Bildern. Die Wohnung resp. die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen dafür war es überall sehr sauber. Bei Unklarheiten hat mir Lazlo rasch zurückgeschrieben. Wir haben den Aufenthalt, vornehmlich die ruhige Lage sehr genossen. Danke!

Nice apartment, spacious living area, comfortable bed,nice balcony, kitchen quite small but fully equipped. Very peaceful area but only a few minutes walk to local supermarket, train station and the village pub! Thun is a short drive away or a couple of hours walk on the riverside path. The pub served typical pub meals, they were large and cheap. Annemarie and her daughter were both very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed for one night on our way to Italy. The apartment had everything it needs and the surroundings are amazing! The view is superb. There are some very nice restaurant on a short driving distance! Christine was very welcoming and showed us around.

i can only say that for many different reasons this was one of my favourite Airbn stays of all times! it was a wonderull family stay that in our case came in a time of need! our family enjoyed the warmth of our host, the fabulous location, the amazing facilities (there is nothing missing, they have all you could possibly need!) and the quietness of the place. 100% recommended. looking forward to coming back, thanks so much for everything

This is an exceptional apartment, the view of the Alps is stunning. We felt very comfortable in the apartment and every small detail was catered to. We'll definitely be back soon and thank Susanne and Bernhard for their excellent hospitality!

The place was spotless, good wifi, practical bathroom, comfy location good parking. Regarding kitchen there was everything you could ask for though definitely on the tighter side so I wouldn’t get too deep into cooking there. I was able to make toast with no problems for breakfast.

Ich hatte einen großartigen Aufenthalt! Daniel war freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Die Wohnung war sauber, ordentlich und modern eingerichtet. Der Ausblick war ebenfalls wunderschön und hat den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht. Ganz klar 5 von 5 Sternen – absolut empfehlenswert!

We really enjoyed our stay at Antoinette's place. The apartment was super clean and equipped with all necessary appliances. It also had a high chair and crib for our 5 month old - very baby friendly. The location is on approx. an hours distance from major cities like Zurich & Basel. Highly recommended :)

Die Unterkunft ist ein Bijoux und man taucht wie in eine vergangene Zeit ein - mit aktuell zeitgemässem Komfort. Die Unterkunft ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet und dekoriert und alles ist top sauber! Ann, die Mutter von Nadia ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin, offen, herzlich und unkompliziert. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und schwelge noch etwas in den schönen Erinnerungen… :-)
