Since 2012, over 250,000 people forced to leave home have found temporary stays through Airbnb.org programs.

You can help Maui fire survivors by offering temporary stays for free or at a discount through Airbnb.org, or by donating to fund Airbnb.org stays.

Offer a place to stay

If you’re able to offer a place on Maui, you can list it for free through Airbnb.org to support fire survivors, first responders, and others affected by large-scale crises.

If you’re an existing Airbnb Host and if you’re able, you can offer your place for free or at a discount for Airbnb.org guests.

Our work with partners

Airbnb.org works with nonprofits and governmental entities skilled in local crisis response and direct emergency assistance.

These partners review the eligibility of potential guests and coordinate their temporary stays.

Airbnb.org doesn’t currently accept requests from individuals for direct emergency assistance.

We support our community regardless of nationality, race, ethnicity, or how they identify.

How Airbnb contributes

Airbnb helps fund stays and covers all operating costs for Airbnb.org.

Airbnb provides Hosts with AirCover, which includes $1 million USD in liability insurance, $3 million USD in damage protection, and more.

Airbnb waives Host and guest fees on all Airbnb.org stays for survivors and first responders.
