Vacation rentals with lake access in Douro River

Estupendo fin de semana en casa de Luis. La casa tiene todo lo necesario y estaba impecablemente limpia, soy alérgica al polvo y para mí la limpieza es muy importante. Está en una zona muy bonita y tranquila, rodeada de árboles y a unos minutos en coche de A Pobra do Caramiñal. Pero lo mejor sin duda es el jardín, grande, bonito, lleno de árboles y sombra y completamente vallado, si vais con perros, niños o ambos, no podría ser mejor. Si volvemos por la zona sin duda vendremos de nuevo a casa de Luis.

What a beautiful house in such a picturesque location! It was very well-equipped and cozy, offering a true experience of everyday life in this part of Portugal. Thank you for your warmth and hospitality as well!

A very quiet, rustic and rural setting. Sooooooo peaceful. Fantastic place to escape the city, get some rest and reconnect with nature. The outdoor, wood-heated bath was great, although it did seem a little decadent for just one person. Ideal for a couple. There is a river and Diogo (who is very friendly and very helpful) said he has a canoe. Although it was still quite cool in the mornings (early April), there is a wood-burner and an AC unit that also heats. The driveway is do-able but more for adventurous drivers. The village (Macieira da Maia) is very authentic and it is only about 10-15 min to the beach. Vila do Conde has a beautiful old-town. Many great beaches along the coast. Braga is only about 40 min, Oporto, about 20-30 min by car.

La zona es preciosa y muy tranquila, tienes muchísima intimidad y tranquilidad. Es un sitio perfecto para desconectar y pasar unos días tranquilos y de descanso son unas vistas muy bonitas. La casa es cómoda y el jacuzzi está genial 🙂 Muy recomendable este alojamiento!

Nuestra estancia en la casa de Carmen ha constituido una experiencia inolvidable. Carmen es una anfitriona perfecta y cuidadosa, y ha sido tremendamente amable y paciente con nosotros. La casa es como en las fotos, ideal para una estancia en medio de la naturaleza. La localización y los parajes circundantes son increíbles. El emplazamiento es ideal para quien busca la tranquilidad, aunque también hay cerca muchas posibilidades de entretenimiento y diversión. La casa está perfectamente mantenida y no falta de nada. Muchas gracias, Carmen, no vemos el momento de volver.

The apartment was so cozy, we were grateful for the little local treats that were left for us it was such a nice touch. The apartment was clean and had a beautiful view of the river from the bedroom windows. The small town was quaint and we enjoyed immensely walking around trying all the amazing restaurants and enjoying the beach. My family and I can’t wait to visit this amazing place again soon!!! Thank you for an amazing little getaway!!

Everything went smoothly. The apartment was clean and comfortable and in a great location. The kitchen could use a few more basic essentials such as a spatula and a large spoon for example, but we managed. Overall a nice stay.

Appartement spacieux, très très bien équipé. On se sent bien accueilli par les touches décoratives et les attentions ( des petits chaussons vous attendent à l'entrée). L'hôte est disponible pour répondre aux attentes. Location très professionnel. Seul petit point améliorer, la literie du lit king size, sinon tout le reste est parfait.

Nous recommandons vivement ! Nelson est très réactif et amical. Emplacement parfait à 2 min à pied de la plage (vue sur la mer). L'appartement est encore plus grand que sur les photos ! Très bien équipé et propre. La piscine est top également Seul bémol : peut-être l'absence de transat près de la piscine pour bronzer :) Merci pour la qualité du logement !

Pasamos un fin de semana increíble en la casa de Alberto. Desde el primer momento fue un anfitrión atento, amable y muy dispuesto a ayudarnos en todo lo que necesitáramos. La casa estaba impecable, muy cómoda y equipada con todo lo necesario para desconectar y disfrutar. Además, la ubicación era perfecta, rodeada de naturaleza y tranquilidad, ideal para descansar. Sin duda recomendaríamos su alojamiento y repetiríamos la experiencia. ¡Gracias por todo aberto!

El apartamento es tal cual con todo nuevo, limpio y muy cómodo. sin duda repetiremos si volvemos por la zona.

Nos sentimos como en casa, tuvimos que dejar el alojamiento en el que estábamos y Miguel agilizó todo el proceso para entrar cuanto antes en su vivienda, fue muy atento y estuve todo el rato pendiente. Además el día de la salido pudimos estar hasta las 18:00, fue todo un anfitrión. El piso era muy espacioso, tenía todos los detalles y estaba todo muy limpio. En una zona muy tranquila y en unos km de Madrid y Toledo. Repetiremos sin duda.

Le logement est bien placé( à 20 minutes à pied du centre ville), il est très lumineux . Presque en face, un petit restaurant avec uniquement des habitués propose des plats à 8-10€. Le metro est à 2 minutes à pied. Diego propose tout un tas de bon plans.

Fernando est un hôte adorable, hyper réactif et donne des conseils. Le lit un poil dur et pas très grand, mais ok pour 2 nuits. Pouvoir se poser sur la terrasse est appréciable. Merci Fernando

Ganz besonderer Ort direkt am Douro. Wunderschöne Terrasse mit Pool, Liegen und Garten mit Obstbäumen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Rui, your host, was brilliant and as effervescent as a freshly poured flute of fine French champagne - so much so that one almost needs to lie down and rest after having a chat. He loves his tree house and is extremely proud of his construction. One of the nights of our stay they had the fiercest storm in nearly 20 years - 100 kph winds, slashing rain and intense lighting and thunder yet in the morning both we and the tree house was still in the tree - can't say much about sleep but what an experience. It is, indeed, a magical experience. If you are coming by rental car, and a stickler for detail, be aware that you must drive over gravel roads for a few kms, which for most rental cars is not covered in the contract but if you drive in a mature and rationale matter who will ever know. Like how many people can say that they actually resided in a tree house. Just do it.

La casa es estupenda, en una localización increíble. Zona muy tranquila para disfrutar de la naturaleza y la tranquilidad en familia y con amigos. La casa está equipada con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días. La limpieza, comodidad y todo los detalles de la vivienda de 10. Tema barbacoa increíble con todo lo necesario. Está a una media hora del Puerto de Navacerrada, donde hemos podido disfrutar de la nieve con los niños. Y, que decir de nuestro anfitrión Gonzalo. Persona atenta, que contesta muy rápido solventado todas nuestras dudas. Pendiente en todo momento de nuestras consultas. Recomiendo 💯% una estancia en El Rincón de tus sueños como la amabilidad y responsabilidad de su anfitrión. Gracias por todo Gonzalo, volveremos!!!

This is a great space in a real out-of-the-way part of Portugal. Tired of big city tourism? Try this property. Tiny villages dot the hills and you get an old world sense of Portugal here. The pool is the real star of the property here (as are Eric's three dogs, one of which lounged with us each morning) as it overlooks he view of the river. We did use the kayaks as well. It is hard to get to them down a very steep hill with ladders and a bit of minor repelling. Not for those with a bad knee or hip. Which gets me to, accessing the apartments, particularly the lower unit, is tricky. Steep, slanting and uneven steps that can be a little slippery. Perhaps not for the elderly. Hint for improvement would be to upgrade the furnishings and kitchenware. The knives couldn't cut an orange.

Hum... what can I say... I think the best is you experience by yourself. This place is amazing!! THE place to go if you like to be in a peaceful, stress free, beautiful and remarkable Airbnb in Douro. Don't think twice, just go. Ivan ha sido muy atento y muy amable, hasta nos consiguió una nueva barbacoa porque sabía que la íbamos a usar para muchas personas. Las vistas de la casa son un sueño, el jardín es enorme y hay muchísima tranquilidad y privacidad. Lo hemos pasado muy bien.
