Vacation rentals with beach access in Douro River

Me and my husband wanted a little break away and came across this gem! All the reviews we read prior to booking were absolutely correct! If I’m honest I don’t think the photos do this place justice, it’s a lovely apartment with fantastic views, right on the beach front. We felt right at home! The Bronze seafood restaurant just a short walk down on the beach has the best cappuccino in the world! The food was awesome and fresh too. The beach has a lovely boardwalk either side, with breathtaking views. The apartment has a fantastic location, less than 100 meters from the beach, and a beautiful walk along the coast, which is lit up and can be traveled both day and night. The area is super quiet and beautiful, and the food is phenomenal, and at very good prices. The landlady, Dolores, is super friendly, she is very attentive to the tenants. We arrived later than expected on the first day, and there was no problem, and the day we left, he allowed us to leave later, which we greatly appreciated since packing the bags and packing everything back in the car, when you go with children, takes time. If we go back to the area, we'll do it again.

Lovely location, very clean and welcoming. Fortunately there were heaters as we experienced an extremely wet and cold storm.

The place looked exactly like the photos. Martina was a great host, was very responsive, and was very friendly.

My stay was really pleasant. The house is very cozy and its location, a stone's throw from the beach, is a real treasure. Sleeping with the sound of the sea in the background is one of those little pleasures that are priceless. The apartment is renovated with a modern and warm style, in addition to being impeccably clean and well organized. Adelaide was helpful at all times, which made me feel accompanied throughout the stay. He also recommended several restaurants, something that is always appreciated, even if you already know the area. I definitely plan to go back.

Small house tastefully arranged, and fully equipped. A little something from the host is waiting for you in the kitchen. Its location is ideal for access between the beach, the old town, the surfing and fishing spot of Matosinhos. The neighborhood is quiet but everything is there, supermarket, bars, tearooms, restaurants... There is nothing missing for a great stay. Small downside however due to the humidity and its small smell in the downstairs room, other than that everything is great. We will gladly come back hoping to have better weather and be able to enjoy the small private terrace more fully.

We are absolutely impressed with the warmth and hospitality of Jorge and Susana! We stayed for 2 weeks and felt completely comfortable! It was spotlessly clean and cozy furnished and lovingly decorated. The bed was so comfy! Jorge and Susana were always available and even left us a few treats on arrival and during the stay. It was also great that we had a separate in the courtyard completely to ourselves. For our two dogs totally great, as they could lie in the sun all day when we were working without having to be afraid that they could run away. In 5 minutes you can walk directly to the huge sandy beach. It was fantastic and we also quickly took the neighbors to heart. Sincere thanks for the great time! We will be back!

We really enjoyed the weekend. We had rented it before and will definitely do so again. Prisilla was a delight and helped us with everything.

A comfortable and spacious home. Very comfortable beds. Full rooms, each with a bathroom. Outdoor space that gives the house a plus. Pedro and Cristina are very attentive to our needs and very friendly. Recommended experience.

The apartment is perfect for a couple or family with small children, for four adults it would be small. It has a good terrace and is right on the beachfront although you can only see the sea down a corner of the terrace. Very quiet and pleasant place with a spectacular beach with restaurants and shops around. The communication with the host was perfect and flexible. We have never experienced such a well-maintained, clean and well-equipped apartment. It corresponds 100% to the photos. There is a large underground parking lot. The landlord Manuel took care of things proactively and asked several times if everything was okay. The location is right on the main beach of Esmoriz, separated only by the waterfront road. However, it should be noted that at the end of August, a fair takes place right in front of the house with corresponding volume in the afternoon and evening.

We had a great time at Adriano's house, who is a attentive and very helpful host. We sincerely thank him for being so available to help us. In addition, the apartment is both modern, very pleasant and held impeccably! The beach is a stone's throw away, all the conditions are there for a great vacation: we recommend it!!

We spent 5 nights with the family and we felt at home. Very comfortable place, quiet area close to beaches and a restaurant. Dolores treated us very well and gave us some plans for when the weather wasn't good enough to go to the beach. Highly recommended
