Countryside studio apartment

RyanRating, 5 stars19 months ago
We came for the Samhain festival and it was the perfect spot. Between Robbie and his father we were immediately welcomed and given great recommendations and felt taken in. Once we arrived in the town we had a couple pubs give mediocre greetings but highly recommend you try the Lawrence. Between that pub and these hosts you’ll feel like you’ve lived in Athboy your whole life as part of the family. The place was clean, wonderfully peaceful, and the view looking out to an old castle wall over their farm is just a truly beautiful experience. We absolutely will return if we get to make it back out this way in the future.
A modern exterior features a spacious patio area with a rectangular wooden table surrounded by six black chairs. Surrounding greenery adds to the serene environment, while large glass doors provide a connection to the interior spaces.

The courtyard

The accommodation of James and Mary is a small but cozy cottage in the garden of the owners with separate entrance. We have only had contact with Mary, a very friendly lady where you can ask anything. Public transportation is very well arranged in Dublin. In 20 minutes you are in the heart of Dublin, on the other hand you are about 10 minutes from the airport. James and Mary also had some bread, coffee, tea, toppings ... provided, really pleasant, you feel very welcome. Highly recommended if you want to stay quietly outside the city because the city is really very busy. A cottage that I can definitely recommend to friends and acquaintances.

Balsoon Lodge Luxury Destination

BasRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Dear Boots, deer Richard, It was an honour and a pleasure in getting to know both of you. Especially the circumstances where we ware depending on you guys in freeing our youngest (grand)daughter from the bathroom. We considered you were terrific in handling “special” tools. Furthermore we were impressed by your never ending enthusiasm to make our stay agreeable as possible. The lodge is to say the least remarkable and we spent a couple of comfortable evenings in companionship of the open fire. Learning about Ireland among others via the Crocket bar could be worse. We would like to thank you for a pleasant stay at your place.

Our stay at Carmel's was absolutely wonderful—easily one of the best experiences we've had on our travels. Her home is warm, inviting, and fully stocked with everything we could need. She was an excellent host, communicating promptly and checking in regularly to ensure everything was perfect. The location is ideal, close to town, and the convenience of parking made our stay even better. Highly recommend!

The location and the house were idyllic. The decor is perfect for the age of the house. Perfect to access Dublin but was also a good base for other day trips like Waterford (2hrs), Blarney castle and stone (3hrs) and the Cliffs of Moher (3.5hrs). Lots of really cool local places too Skerries Mills (30 mins), New Grange (30 mins), Battle of Boyne Museum (30 mins) and Hill of Tara (30 mins). Very good local restaurants. Serena is an extremely good host and responds to text quickly. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect location for our group with a wedding at Cabra Castle. Nuala was so friendly and provided lots of instructions. The place was spotless and the kitchen was perfectly equipped for our stay. Nuala also left us a delicious loaf of bread. The rooms were comfortable and we had plenty of space for the 3 couples in our group. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area!

2 Bed Apartment in Ashbourne

LynnRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had a lovely stay, David gave us comprehensive details for getting there, links to bus timetables etc which was very helpful. Also informed us that the apartment was ready for us and that we could check in at anytime which was very helpful as we had a toddler with us! Unfortunately we had a blocked toilet after first day but David immediately responded. The apartment is in such a good location for shops, pubs etc., and probably the best Chinese takeaway we have ever had, all within walking distance! Would highly recommend the apartment!
