Family-friendly vacation rentals in Chalandri

Panos is an excellent host, very kind and generous. He arranged and paid for transport for us and airport pick up for our son on a separate date. He even gave us a lift home from a restaurant one evening and then we had a nice drink together. Panos and his family live on the floors above the Airbnb rental, which is on floors-1 and -2. The pool is excellent, although not large it is deep and has an “endless swim“ function that gives a great workout trying to swim against the current. The view of Athens is also amazing, especially from the -1 floor large picture window. Note that the -1 floor is open plan containing a double bed and the kitchen, but the -2 floor bedroom has a door for privacy. Steep hills nearby give you a serious workout when walking but taxis are reasonable (usually about 8-11 euros from the acropolis)

If I could give Andreas more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. From the moment we booked, his communication was outstanding. He proactively reached out and helped us navigate a taxi strike on our arrival day, ensuring a smooth start to our trip. He personally welcomed us and shared thoughtful recommendations — every restaurant, whether off the beaten path or near the main sites, was exactly what we were looking for. Andreas went above and beyond by helping us make all our dinner reservations and making sure we felt completely taken care of by periodically checking in throughout our stay His apartment is immaculately clean, with a peaceful outdoor space where we enjoyed morning espresso and birdsongs — the perfect start to our days. The location was ideal: close to everything we wanted to see, but tucked away enough that it felt calm and relaxed. This was one of our best Airbnb stays ever, thanks to Andrea’s hospitality, attention to detail, and warmth. Don’t hesitate — book now.

We had a fantastic time at Ilias's apartment in Athens. The space was spotlessly clean and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Anna and Teo were very responsive and helpful, especially with a tour guide and pickup at the port and drop off at the airport. Very nice to provide little snack and drink gifts too. Perfect location - close to everything.

I actually didn’t stay at this home but I contacted the host late one night from the US as my mom was finishing an unexpected trip to the hospital. My family was unable to turn to the island they were planning to be on and needed a place to stay and recover. The host responded extremely quickly and gave my family a place to crash when they were exhausted. We were sent the clear check-in info right away. My parents and kids said the place was awesome! My kids loved the lemonade that was provided. They all enjoyed how close they were too so many things!

Absolutely stunning. The view from the apartment is second to none, and looks even better in real life compared to the photos. Within walking distance of many great attractions and restaurants. Quick to reply. All in all superb experience.

The apartment is wonderful, spacious and has many more amenities than described. It is a house with everything you may need. It is also very peaceful with beautiful balconies. It is ideal also for families with toddlers, there is a nice park nearby. We had a great stay!

Highly, highly recommended!! I have stayed at a few Airbnb properties, and I have to say that Maria and her husband are among the best hosts I have ever had. We had a minor accident early in the holiday and Maria went out of her way to come and help in the middle of the night. She answered every question we had when trying to deal with the Greek transport system, which is an absolute nightmare to unravel. The flat itself is close to the centre of the city and well located by transport, and the price was very reasonable. The view from the balcony is simply magnificent. We were sorry to leave. Peter’s place was lovely, very clean and well maintained. His very zealous cleaning lady should be commended for her efforts! Peter was a great host with plenty of excellent recommendations and was very responsive when we had any questions. The flat is spacious and comfortable. It’s a walkable distance to the central tourist area and easy to find. We would recommend it to our friends.

Very nice home. Thelma was always responsive and we had a wonderful time in Athens and her place was convenient for shops and food and we had taxis for our others locations. Close to the markets as well!

Super well located flat in Athens. The place is good size, very clean and quiet. Within walking distance of Acropolis and Plaka. The flat had all the needed amenities. We felt home! Lynn sent all the detailed instructions in advance - very helpful. Everything was ready for our stay before we arrived, even the sofa bed. Linn communicated all the needed information and replied quickly to our questions. A great address to discover Athens! Highly recommended !

We stayed here for 12 days and it was great! Easy to walk to all of Athens attractions and in a nice quiet neighborhood. The apt worked perfect for two people to work remote too. Everything about it is great! We would stay here again.

I had a wonderful time staying at Louis’s Apartment. The Apartment was just as described; clean, cozy, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect for getting around, with the metro and bus stop just steps away, making it effortless to explore Athens. Louis was a great host—friendly, responsive, and always ready to help. If I’m back in Athens, I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The place was beautiful, very clean and cozily furnished with a great kitchen in which everything was available that you need for cooking and to make coffee in the morning. The roof terrace can only be reached via an elevator, but it is very private and you have an extremely great view over Athens. We felt comfortable and would come back again and again! As a single note: the location is very nice and quiet in a very safe neighborhood of Athens, but you really walk up a lot of stairs to get to the apartment.

Great place to stay with all of the major "best things in Athens" things on a reasonable walking distance. Neighborhood looks a bit odd upon arrival, but really needs a bit of exploration. Then you will find place for a good coffee, supermarket and some superb small plates restaurants just around the corner. The villa itself is great with the indoor swimming pool as an interesting asset. Its very spacious and neat, with nice outdoor places. Only minus is that there is only one shower on ground floor that really needs a bit of an upgrade. But with a dip in the pool as an alternative, not the worst thing that can happen. Overall a recommendable place to stay for an Athens city trip

An absolutely magnificent place! Hard to imagine that you can find a place like this in a large city! It was a short walk from restaurants, supermarket and the metro. Rooftop pool with great privacy was wonderful on hot days and also swimming at night with the city lights in the background. Rooftop terrace was overlooking the city and with views to Lycabettus hill and nature on the other side. On many evenings we ordered food in and ate at the rooftop terrace. We were a group of six and could not have been more pleased with our stay. Dimitris was very helpful and a great host!

We had a great stay in this appartment. It was large and well-designed. The neighbourhood is one of the nicest in Athens, with low crime and cute restaurants / bars. We were able to find convenient free and safe street parking nearby. The hosts were charming, helpful and also discreet. A perfect stay, we hope to come back!

it's a good place if you look for something close to the Airport and you looking for relaxing indoor, the house is good, only thing we were missing is a smart TV so we can watch Netflix ect. the beach is rocky. Swimming pool is great , no BBQ

Absolutely beautiful home. Breathtaking. The pictures, although lovely, do not do this place justice, it is amazing. Don't think twice, just book it! So much space for my 2 boys to move around, and the pook and hot tub were great, along with the views! Cant say enough about this home, I look forward to returning. Host was super accomodating and gave great recommendations. 10/10

I had an amazing stay Stamatis was so helpful he came to meet us and went through all the places we should go to eat and things to do in detail he was very active in replying to messages and the check in was very easy it’s in a nice local area about a 30 minute walk from the centre the pool was lovely a great place to hang out after a long day of walking we really enjoyed our stay here thank you so much
