Cabin vacation rentals in Bonnechere Valley

My son and I rented a place last year from Alison that set the tone really high for any future air b&b experiences and despite that one being an absolute blast we somehow were treated to an even more amazing experience at The Treehouse Cabin! This had everything we could have asked for, children's playstructure, fire pit, hot tub, hammock and chairs, outdoor seating, a gorgeous view of the water that we even managed to go swimming in despite it being early May. Awesome right? We haven't even touched on the interior. The cottage has the sort of charm that only these two could put on. Beautiful interior, Alison's best pillows,throw blankets, comfortable seating etc. Not to mention the fantastic carrot cake that I had been hoping for since last years rental! The master bedroom was about as relaxing a sleep as one could hope for and the cottage had everything one could possibly need. Before leaving we booked the cottage again! Thanks for giving us memories that will last forever!

We had an incredible stay at Alex and Violetta’s cottage! The cottage itself was modern yet cozy. The record player and arcade game was a nice touch especially for rainy days spent indoors. The view from the sunroom is incredible and Drag Lake is beautiful, we loved spending time on the paddleboard, sitting on the dock, by the fire pit or in the hot tub. The grounds are quite private as well, so it’s like your own little oasis! I recommend this cottage to anyone… we’d definitely love to visit again in the future!

We had a fantastic weekend getaway at this cottage! The place had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The interior was cozy and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. We appreciated the sauna (wood fired) and hot tub as it was a bit chilly . Just a note, the hot tub is a bit smaller, best suited for two people at a time. Outside, the cottage really shines. There’s a great spot for bonfires (Firewood provided !) with a beautiful view and a perfect vantage point to take in the lake, We even spotted a few hummingbirds visiting the deck area. There is also a small lawn area for some outdoor sports and games. Cottage also has good watercraft/fishing/swimming opportunities. Overall a great place.

We loved it! The cottage is located in a private area on the lake, well-decorated, and has 4 levels making it very spacious. The hottub and sauna were awesome - perfect for our winter stay. We liked the couch in the downstairs living room as it was big and comfortable, and we appreciated the Roku for easy streaming. We had no issues driving to the cottage even after heavy snowfall - the private road and driveway were cleared. Walkways, stairs and decks were also cleared. Plenty of room outside for walks with a dog and other activities. We would highly recommend Siobhan’s cottage!

Wanda’s cozy little cabin was the perfect spot for a relaxing winter getaway! Her place exceeded the photos, as soon as we walked in Wanda already had the wood stove fireplace going so that the place was warm and cozy when we arrived. She was extremely pleasant and responsive when we had questions and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave! Would definetley recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

Wonderful place to spend some relaxed days in the beautiful Canadian nature. The cottage was fully equipped, neat, cozy and lovingly decorated. Exactly as shown on the pictures. Nothing was missed. Charlotte and Cindy replied within shortest time and provided all relevant information well in advance. We enjoyed the stay from the first minute and couldn't imagine a better place for our vacation. Hope to come back!

Prunella No.4 A-frame cabin is a gem. Nancy and Catherine are amazing hosts - they provided everything we needed to feel at home. They even had all the amenities for our pup, including a dog bed and bowls, which was a thoughtful touch. Their attention to detail, from the property, to the decor and lights inside and outside the cabin, the dock and everything at the lake, was perfect and made our stay a 5 star experience. We loved exploring the trails and taking the kayak and paddleboard out. We look forward to going back already.

This place is just amazing, clean, incredible views the Jacuzzi is new and exactly what all places should have when they list a hot tub! The sauna was an extra bonus with an incredible view of the forest! Definitely going to rent again

This was a great escape from the city! The place was great but what was greater was Monica! She was extremely responsive, friendly and thoughtful. She made sure that we felt home every step of the way. She even put up a happy birthday banner for us since we were there to celebrate a birthday. When it got colder one of the days, she was proactive and asked if we needed an extra blanket before I requested it. Highly recommended!

This was my second time visiting Andrew’s place in the fall. It is absolutely gorgeous this time of year. The cottage itself is clean & cozy. All necessary amenities are included. Will be back again!

We had the most incredible stay at this delightful cottage! The hosts were wonderful to communicate with and went above and beyond by leaving us fresh eggs and homemade sourdough—such a thoughtful touch. The kitchen was fully stocked with every tool you could possibly need, making cooking a breeze. The cottage is located on a peaceful island, just a quick 5-minute boat ride away. Upon arrival, we had help unloading the boat, which made settling in so easy. The highlight for us was Sunset Point Rock, where we enjoyed breathtaking sunsets. Swimming was such a joy. The whole experience felt like a dream getaway—cozy, clean, and truly a home away from home. For fellow nature lovers, we highly recommend downloading the Merlin App to identify the many beautiful birds on the island. The fishing was great. We found the Texas Rig worked best. We absolutely loved every moment and can’t recommend this place enough. Will definitely return!

Our second stay at Nicks retreat, just as great as the first time! 40 mins drive to Algonquin park, cute bakery and shops in maynooth and a large yard for a full game of football

Second time staying here and I loved it just as much as the first time…the lake and location is incredibly peaceful…had a wonderful stay….i adore the cabin ❤️

This Romantic Cabin is a must to go visit , it is in spotless conditions and there is lots to do around , surrounded with beautiful forest view , inside you have everything you ever wanted staring from kitchen items and spices down to sunglasses , very well oriented and easy to use , nice bathtub with hot and cold water , we never ran out of power or water plenty to use. Beautiful fire pit with lots of wood to use, Peter is very helpful host and the best host out there , and will respond immediately if you needed help with anything. Instructions are straight forward. My girlfriend and I are really looking forward to coming back to this beautiful romantic cabin !!!! ITS A MUST TRY !!!!

Don's quaint, rustic cottage in a very private setting was just what we were looking for. It's perfect for a couple. For late October, the colours were still glorious, and the space was cozy. Don was very kind, and he even left a card and some treats in the fridge for us in honour of our anniversary. If you're looking to disconnect and find some tranquility, this is the place!

What a wonderful escape! The water nearly surrounded the cottage and every direction you have a gorgeous view. Our days were spent on the lake in the kayak exploring the area. The water was so clear that you could see all the fish. Our dogs loved the area and the swimming. The area was private, and had everything we needed. We hope to return next summer!

The place was clean, well-organized, and fully equipped with all kitchen utensils. It is located in a quiet area. Above all, Kaitlyn responded quickly and clearly. I highly recommend it.

Our stay in Radek’s cabin was outstanding! We were inspired by so many positive things about the possibilities of off-grid living. Luxury off-grid I would call it. Radek was always helpful and also very respectful of our privacy. Incredible how he built this all and so very precisely and beautifully. Also lots of artistic signs, statues and other things outside along the many paths on the property. We highly recommend the experience. Nice waterfalls (Egan Chutes) nearby, Eagles Nest lookout nearby and a short drive to dinner and stores in Bancroft, but also plenty of hikes, eg to River, on the oroperty itself.

This place exceeded all our expectations. The host is phenomenal. His responses were always fast, extremely friendly and understanding. He was very accommodating with our date changes (due to a military move) and made our process super easy. The place is stunning. Even better than the pictures. It’s open, spacious, with lots of modern, high end touches. I have already been recommending this place to all my friends. It’s a must stay- in the winter or summer. Thank you Brett for your kindness and hospitality!

This is a lovely and tranquil spot, a favourite that we’ve returned to three times now. There are plenty of places to hike through nature nearby and there’s even great takeout food just a few minutes drive away. Our nights were filled with stars and the sounds of coyotes and owls. Our days were graced with soaring eagles, chipmunks and deer. Cherry Ann is a great host who makes sure the cabin is pristine for all the guests, and is responsive to our needs. We are already planning our return next year.

Our stay was exceptional. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. The loft bedroom overlooks a gorgeous stream, which creates such a relaxing ambiance. The hosts were extremely responsive and friendly. They went above and beyond and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. Thanks again guys!

It was amazing stay! The place looks just as in the description. The host was very helpful in letting us know directions to the near by lake and came back to pick us up when it started raining. The place has horses, dogs and turkeys amazing to look at in the morning. We enjoyed our stay alot!

Absolutely wonderful time! The place is great, both outside and inside. The owners really thought of everything. Well equipped space, nice decor, comfortable and very tidy. Direct access to the lake, a fire pit, space for walking. A dream place for a great family getaway. The owners are very nice and communicative. We will definitely return there.

We enjoyed our stay at Peter & Maribeth’s place despite the weather gods not playing their part. The place is as advertised and conveniently located. Peter & Maribeth are wonderful hosts and were very prompt with their responses and helpful. Will recommend.
