Cottage vacation rentals in Big Gull Lake

Myself and 3 ladies so enjoyed this peaceful fun weekend Their Air B&B was the perfect place to unwind, take walks, very clean, beautiful lakefront and sunsets were stunning Close to Carleton Place and Almonte for shopping and terrific restaurants Would certainly recommend.. Enjoy if you do book in the future!

What a great place. Stephen was fantastic and a great communicator. The place was lovely. Bright, comfortable and cozy. We felt at home right away. Loved the outdoor space, the view and the chairs right by the water. The ice had just gone out so we couldn't swim, but we all talked about how great it would be to swim off that dock and use all the water toys. We all agreed it was the perfect getaway. We also all agreed that Stephen has thought of everything - clear instructions, great notices, all the things you need in a kitchen etc. It is clear that he knows what he is doing!

From the moment you pull into the driveway, swing open the front door you enter into paradise. The first thing you see is wall to wall windows with a picture perfect view of the lake and the excitement of being there just grows! If you love nature and peacefulness you will not be disappointed. Be sure to pack binoculars if you have them and if you are into photography you will have plenty of opportunity for some epic pictures. Pileated Woodpeckers, Hawks, Snow Geese, Canadian Geese, Trumpeter Swans, Great Blue Herons, Muskrats and White Tailed Deer are some of the animals we were fortunate to see. The charming village of Westport is a short drive away. If you are looking for a nice restaurant I highly recommend The Cove. Yvonne has the cottage and kitchen stocked with everything you could possibly need. The cottage provides the most peaceful and tranquil setting. Thanks for everything Yvonne you definitely are a fantastic, thoughtful hostess and we will definitely be returning!

This is a beautiful spot, quite private and spacious! We loved the view from the big windows and porches! I hope we can return some time for another enjoyable vacation.

Thank you Ryan!! This listing is the perfect escape from the city and has EVERYTHING you need. The host was very responsive, walked us through setting up a fire. Even in the craziest of snowstorms it was cozy and warm. Gorgeous decor. Comfortable couch. Couldn't say enough nice words!! Some airbnbs you can tell the host has never actually stayed there because they are missing dishes etc or it's not set up nicely. This place was PERFECT and you can tell the host puts a lot of care into the space and has stayed there themselves. Will have to be back!!!!!!!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was incredibly comfortable and full of light. The location was close to great restaurants and family activities/places to visit, yet tucked away enough to feel like a peaceful escape. Priya was very kind and responsive. New batteries for the fireplace remote arrived almost instantly. Absolutely gracious hospitality! Would definitely recommend for families looking for a quiet getaway with really beautiful views and sunsets.

The cottage was a great experience.Everyone had alot of fun. Lots of activities to do, canoing,kayak,paddle boating. The hot tub was a big hit and everyone enjoyed it. Thank you to the host for allowing us to use their property, very responsive, provided all clear instructions.

We were very pleased with the cottage. It was very clean and spacious. Everything we needed was available and suited our needs perfectly. We loved the spacious kitchen and dining area. There is a lot of storage available if you are staying for any length of time. The perfect place to stay with a family. We would definitely recommend this Airbnb.

Had an amazing stay with the family. We had lots to do from hikes to bon fires. Everything you need from grocery, gas, food and lcbo is less than a 5 min drive from the place. Over all would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Had a great stay at Nick's place. The cottage is beautiful inside and out, and we'd absolutely visit again.

Greg’s place is incredible, we would all go back in a heartbeat! Greg is a great host, always responsive and he made sure we had great stay. The place itself is beautiful, has a lot amenities and it’s super cozy. Beds are very comfortable and every space clean and well taken care of. Definitely recommended.

Great cozy place. Beautiful view of the lake from the main living room. Place is clean and has everything you need. Hot tub was super clean and easy to use. Beautiful property and lots of room to explore. The only downside is the highway noise, but you can’t hear anything inside the cottage. Would recommend to anyone who’s looking for a cozy nesting cottage with a view, this is your place.

Wonderful cottage, in a perfect location. Gorgeous and peaceful lake front, with a bon fire spot overlooking it. Everything was nearly brand new (appliances, large tv, hot tub, bbq) Kayaks were great to use to explore the Lake. Friendly general store 5 mins away. Amazing sunset. Foosball. Don’t hesitate.

We had a cozy and fun stay at this beautiful cottage. The cottage is newly built, very clean, and well designed. It provided us everything we needed and more! 4 comfortable bedrooms that were quiet enough for us to be there with a 1-year-old. Lorie is a very thoughtful host and was quick to answer any questions we had. The lake was still frozen when we were there but it looks like a great spot to canoe and swim. Already discussing when we can return!

Words cannot describe how impressed we were with Laughing Moose. The minute I walked in the front door I felt I could live here for ever. The incredible views, the spacious kitchen the stylish little pieces of decor make this place comfortable, relaxing and luxury. Janice pays attention to every little detail to ensure we had a fabulous time! From the selection of quality glasses, crockery and cooking utensils to the games and puzzles ( we completed a full jig saw puzzle between us) we had everything we could possibly need and much more. Even a thoughtful and delicious blueberry pie to welcome us !! We were visiting from Australia and planned this weekend with our two sons and families for a getaway together. It couldn’t have been more perfect and we made such fabulous memories. So much space for all 8 of us plus the 2 dogs! I can’t thank you enough for this special visit! I'll admit, based on the reviews our expectations were high. They were exceeded in nearly every facet of our stay. We desperately needed ( election fatigue) to get away and have a week of peace, quiet, and serenity. Danielle and Jorden's home was perfect. there was not one single time while staying there that we looked for something that didn't exist. The bathrooms and kitchen are fabulous, and all are very well appointed. The radiant floors in the ensuite bath were a nice touch. The location is ideal, you are right on the lake with wonderful views from both inside and out, and despite having neighbors, it feels incredibly private. We had one small mechanical issue which Danielle took care of immediately. they were a pleasure to speak with, and their response time was always nearly immediate. The locals were incredibly friendly, the supermarket is just across the lake, and there's a nice dog park for those bringing their fur babies. We look forward to a returning to this ideal spot.

Tammy was the sweetest, most helpful hist to my parents. I booked this place for their 1 year anniversary weekend and they were in love. She left them a cute note and got them a bottle of wine to celebrate. They loved the space so much and felt right at home and didn't want to leave. Tammy thank you SO much for your hospitality and taking such good care of my parents. They will absolutely be back!!

We had a perfect winter getaway and would be back anytime. The description and pictures shown are accurate, it’s actually more beautiful in person. Loved how well-equipped the place is. From everything you might need in the kitchen&bathroom to the beautiful and thoughtful touches like the inside swing and the coffee table books, games, movies, an array of pillows and blankets to choose from and comfy beds. This place felt like home as soon as we walked in. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful and feels private even with the neighbouring houses. The sauna is breathtaking and a luxurious addition. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. Caroline was so kind and responsive and graciously extended help during a bad ice storm that happened during our stay. We would come back, 10/10. Thank you for a memorable stay.

My family and I had a wonderful getaway at York Riverscape. The cottage was well stocked with all the essentials. We especially loved not having to bring our own bedding and towels. The kids had a blast with the foosball table: Julie and Roger were responsive hosts and their cottage was exactly as described. We plan to return in the future.

Chantyle's cottage was a great find for our family. While it was basic and nothing fancy but that is just what our family loves. We basically only need a spot to sleep and cook, other then that we are outside enjoying the nature we are surrounded by, and this spot was perfect The beach was perfect for swimming, crystal clear, and shallow so the kids could walk out for quite some distance. On top of the beautiful area and comfortable rustic cabin we were greeted by a very friendly, accommodating, and very helpful campground manager Phil and his wife Tanya. Helped us with things we needed right away and gave us suggestions on places to check out that our kids ended up loving....overall amazing experience thanks for having our family stay it was a great location and great place. friendly seasonal campers as well. our family will definitely be back ?

What a gem this cottage is. We’d move in forever! Loved the open concept and the updated kitchen and bathroom. Perfect for our dog with a forest hiking trail close by. We enjoyed coffee and cocktails on the dock for sunrises and sunsets. Idyllic!
