Rebecca is a friendly and welcoming host. The house is clean, with a good vibe, very homey with a nice world-traveller boho-chic touch. We were in Vancouver for the first time and only passing through- and Rebecca helped make our stay comfortable. Rebecca even offered to drive us to a close-by area so we could find a restaurant and have our lunch soon after arrival. The room is pleasant, comfortable, and although the bathroom is shared with other guests, somehow it worked out and there was never an issue with that. I had my teemage son along with me and he slept on the sofa: Rebecca provided extra linen and a second comforter. Rebecca's spacious living/family room is well lit and looks out at a large green space, and she was gracious about inviting us to sit there if we wished, whether she was home or not (there is no view from the room, but a large window does allow for an airy feeling). She was also gracious about making tea in the kitchen and keeping things in her fridge. Rebecca was helpful in giving us ideas where we might like to go, and patient with explaining how to get there. The only thing I would point out is to be sure you realize the room is not downtown or in an area of any particular interest: we chose this location because we had some personal business at an address quite nearby. But it is right on a very main road (surprisingly quiet and peaceful, the house is set back from the road with a substantial hedge separating the front yard from the street ; and the room is at the back of the house), so buses go by frequently, to downtown and/or to connections with buses going everywhere else. If you are coming with your own car/mode of transportation, it would be an easier of course. I would highly recommend booking this room: it will be a nice place to relax and recharge on your Vancouver holiday, and a warm, welcoming gracious host makes every stay nicer. Thank you Rebecca!
