This was our second time staying at Marsh Bend Waterview Oasis and once again we loved it! Such a beautiful location and right across the street from Edna's and the Cattail pool. The home is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you would need. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The towels and sheets are great. The living room and every bedroom has a TV! Say no more. We will be back.

2 BR Home in an Amazing Location With 4-Seat Cart!

Andy & JenRating, 5 stars4 months ago
My family was visiting my wife’s parents. The also live in the Villages, but their house is a little tight now that the kids are teenagers. This location was very close to them and Sumpter Landing. The house was exactly as described and had nostalgic everything we needed. The golf cart was great and very convenient. House was very quiet all the neighbors were very friendly. If you are looking to see what TheVillages are all about or visiting someone, we recommend this listing. Thank you Andy & Jen

Holiday home in the villages.

RaquelRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
everything was great! Ken is great, very responsive and helpful. the space is beautiful and clean! we loved the pool and hot tub combo on site. pool was clean and warm and hot tub was hot and jets worked wonderfully. the full size kitchen was great, but the room we hung out in most was definitely the patio room. super relaxing environment and love the TV that turns so you can see it in the pool. the golf cart is also a great addition. we loved being able to cruise around and see the different town squares, live music, shopping centers, restaurants, pools, etc. just a side note on how much ken is a superstar- we stayed during the week of hurricane Milton hitting and decided to leave and check out early, he was EXTREMELY accommodating to that. we would HIGHLY recommend staying here.

La Hacienda in the Hills

JonathanRating, 5 stars4 months ago
**Rating: 5 stars** When you arrive at La Hacienda on Snow Hill, be ready to enter a place of solitude, peace of mind, and relaxation. The grounds will sweep your mind away, and the sunsets are so beautiful, they’re mesmerizing. The hosts, Steven and Jessica, are true gems. The level of attention to detail they provide to ensure their guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay is outstanding. There are comfy beds, extra linens, extra towels, a chef's kitchen, a wet bar, a mini fridge, a huge covered patio with rocking chairs and bed swings, and a Weber gas grill waiting for you to put a nice juicy steak on from Hart’s Meat Market down the road. If you’re lucky enough to find this place available for your dates, don’t hesitate to “Book Now”—it will become one of your favorite places to stay during your trip to Brooksville.

6 BD Lake Retreat, Loaded for Fun - Stunning Views

MattRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
If you need a big place with a well stocked kitchen, this place will do great for you. Plenty of space for kids to roam. The rental management company was very communicative and made it easy getting in and out. Kudos to the owners for renovating in the 90s and keeping the hardcore 80s chic vibe going strong.

Your guide to The Villages

All About The Villages

Comprising more than a dozen planned retirement communities and neighborhoods and three unique downtown squares, The Villages is designed to cater to every whim of recreation and entertainment, all within a short drive of Florida’s dual coastlines. The Villages’ history goes back to the 1960s, when the area’s land tracts were sold via mail order. Officially named The Villages in 1992, the community has grown in leaps and bounds. It now spans 32 square miles and is one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the state. Featuring bungalows, patio villas, and custom homes, The Villages’ offerings have grown with the development. The area is home to 50 golf courses and boasts more than 2,700 social clubs; its world-famous polo club draws 30,000 spectators each year.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in The Villages

Typical for central Florida weather, The Villages experiences long, oppressively hot summers and short, cool winters. Due to the humidity, it’s wet pretty much year-round, and cloud cover can come and go quickly depending on the winds. Temperatures average in the high 80s and low 90s Fahrenheit in the summertime, waver between the 70s and 80s during the shoulder seasons, and very seldom drop below 40 degrees in winter. While sunshine is abundant year-round, the best time to visit is late spring or early summer, before things get too sticky. Alternatively, early fall is pleasant.

Top things to do in The Villages

Lake Sumter Landing

One of The Villages’ three main squares, Lake Sumter Landing has the feel of a small waterfront town. Featuring a long, old-fashioned boardwalk that circles the lake; a picturesque lighthouse; and a movie theater, it’s one of The Villages’ entertainment hubs. If you’re visiting over the holidays, don’t miss the golf cart Christmas parade.

Sharon Rose Wiechens Preserve

Located at the southern edge of The Villages, this natural preserve is home to gopher tortoises, alligators, herons, cranes, and other regional wildlife, as well as an impressive variety of native marshland plants. Enjoy the short nature walk, and bring binoculars to check out the fauna from the observation deck.

Lake Griffin State Park

Home to one of the state’s largest live oak trees, this 620-acre park connects Lake Griffin to the Harris Chain of Lakes. It’s the perfect spot to see wildlife like osprey and river otters while canoeing, kayaking, or hiking along the scenic nature trail.
