Spacious Apt w/Rooftop Deck, Harborviews & Bridge

GeralynRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If I could give this host, Andrew, a 10 star rating I would. The property was perfectly situated in downtown for shopping, restaurants, waterfront activities, etc. The unit was immaculate. The beds were hotel quality and extremely comfortable. The rooftop deck was pretty awesome too! It was wonderful to relax with a cup of coffee and look out at the harbor. Andrew went above and beyond by supplying water bottles, coffee supplies and fresh flowers!! In addition, he provided a list of activities and things to do nearby. In short I felt very welcomed to this property. I hope to return in the future.

Cozy Seaside Cottage on the Point

JaneaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I had an amazing weekend at this charming Newport cottage with friends! The decor was beautifully curated—every detail was thoughtfully designed to create a cozy and stylish atmosphere. From the inviting living spaces to the comfortable bedrooms, it truly felt like a home away from home. What made the experience even better was the host's superior music taste, which added the perfect vibe to our stay; there was always something great playing in the background. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a perfect blend of style, comfort, and great ambiance in Newport. Thank you for having us, Gladys!

My Little House of Light

BreaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
very clean and cozy place to stay. for some reason I thought I was renting a little cottage, I didn't realize it was essentially a finished walk out basement but i wasnt disappointed because the place was wonderful and i couldnt even tell anyone was upstairs. patty was super respectful of her downstairs guests. beautiful neighborhood with a small beach within walking distance, its an enjoyable walk and a great spot to launch a kayak or take a dip. central location within reasonable driving distance to many popular RI locations such as newport, Narragansett, and providence. ferry, beaches, state parks, hiking, walkable downtowns, etc nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed! Mark gave thorough directions for check-in and responded quickly when we were unsure how to turn on the heat. The location is good also, near the cute town of Wickford and plenty of restaurants and other amenities. Would definitely stay there again!

The location on the Harbor w/ prkng

JulieRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We have been coming to Newport for over 40 years and cannot say enough great things about this place and its location. The space is spacious and comfortable, appointed with all the necessities for an enjoyable stay. There is even an outdoor upper deck with views of Newport Harbor. The location is in the heart of all the happenings, right off Thames Street, close by local shops, restaurants, bars and other Newport attractions. Jay, the host, was great. We will definitely be back!

Open Concept Beach House

ConnerRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Nancy was fantastic. Great host, responsive and kind. The house was great for our family of 10. Plenty of space and the main floor was great for cooking, dining and lounging. All the bedrooms are located on different floors if people want to get away from any noise. We will definitely be coming back for seafood fest in the next couple years. Throughly impressed!

Renovated 2 Bed Private Vacation Home near Newport

StaceyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A nice landing spot, it was close drive to the Cliffs and the highway. If you arrive when it’s dark, it may appear quaint from the outside, go inside and your feeling will change. It was the perfect size for a couple and our pets, but I’m sure we will be back with the kids at some point!

Atlantic Street Guesthouse

SteveRating, 5 stars1 week ago
It was a pleasure to stay at Scott's Air BnB. The apartment was very clean. Scott left a generous amount of snacks, cold beverages and k-cups for our use. He checked in a number of times by text to see if we were comfortable and to ask if we needed anything. His place is located within comfortable walking distance to the cliff walk, downtown and the waterfront. There is a nice outdoor patio that we were able to take advantage of to enjoy this beautiful Fall weather. I discovered that I had left my jacket at the apartment. Going above and beyond, Scott didn't hesitate to ship it to me the next. I highly recommend Scott and his AiR BnB.

Mon Reve Cottage Suite by PVDBNBs (2 bed, 1 bath)

TaniaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had such a lovely few days at Waleed’s place. It was even nicer than the photos, which didn’t capture the lovely roof deck with swing chairs and the large seating area. We walked to Brown, RISD, restaurants and everywhere. Loved having a safe place off the street for our car. The kids loved the cozy bunk bed. And the shower was hard to leave!!

Your guide to Newport

All About Newport

On the southern tip of Aquidneck Island in Rhode Island Sound, Newport is famous for its scenic landscapes, rich sailing history, and renowned music scene. Located southeast of Providence, Newport is easily reachable from Boston and New York City. Its yacht-filled harbor has played host to the world’s oldest and most famous sailing competition over the years, and the town is also the site of Naval Station Newport, a crucial Navy training center housing the United States Naval War College, and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center.

In downtown, 18th-century clapboard houses line the narrow streets, whereas Bellevue Avenue is home to Gilded Age mansions, some of which have become museums. Several public and private beaches welcome visitors, with Easton Beach being the most popular for swimming and kite-surfing. Just outside of town, you’ll find picturesque vineyards offering wine tasting and alfresco dining. And to the north, Colt State Park offers walking paths, playing fields, and an open-air chapel.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Newport

Like many New England towns, Newport's weather can vary throughout the year. Summers are pleasant with warm temperatures, sunny days, and an abundance of events to keep you busy, including the city’s world-renowned folk and jazz festivals and international tennis tournament in July. As temperatures cool, fall foliage is on full display in late September, early October. Enjoy a scenic drive to take in the colors. While winters are cold and snowy, it may be the best time to enjoy your Newport vacation rental and a cozy dinner at one of the local vineyards. May brings warmer temperatures, drier weather, and delicious oysters and chowders from local growers and vendors at the annual Newport Oyster & Chowder Festival.

You may even want to get out of the car, set out your blanket, and enjoy an afternoon picnic in the ocean breeze.
