Welcome to 'Terracielo Ramona’ located in the quiet heart of Penne historical centre! My townhouse is within walking distance to services, bus station, restaurants, cafes and wine bar! Penne Lake is 3km away on foot, so you can plan hikes + picnics close to home. You'll enjoy a restful sleep in a large room on a comfortable queen-size bed, the possibity to enjoy a sunny terrace in summer and you'll be ready to explore Abruzzo! Penne is between the mountains & sea so you have many options!

The space
You'll have a large comfortble bed in the guestroom which has plenty of space to move! It can sleep 3.

The guest lounge/reading-room is also a comfortable common-space where you are welcome to sit and relax. I've stocked it with lots of information on exploring locally and around Abruzzo. This common area room also has a double pull-out sofabed so it can also accommodate one or 2 extra guests in your party.
Because it exits to the terrace, I do need access to it during the day from 11am to 9:30pm.

Prefer the outdoors? Exit to the terrace and take in some sun or lounge under the stars on a cool evening.

Please note that the guest bathroom it's not in the bedroom. It's located on the floor below.

My property (entire house) is NOT FOR RENT on a full-time yearly basis.
Although I can rent the room to students or workers in low season.. If you would like to rent a room during a period in low season, please send a query directly.

I am also registered with my local municipality (CIR) 068027BeB0018

Guest access
Guests will have their own key to come and go, access to the common spaces like the terrace reading-room (which has a printer, games and books), my sunny terrace, and the kitchen to store food or prep light meals. There is also secure bicycle parking in my storage space.

During your stay
I'm accessible by phone or in person and happy to give all guests an orientation (walking) tour of Penne so you can find your bearings. Need advice or help with a reservation or booking a tour? No problem! I'm happy to help!
I also share my home with my CANINE FAMILY. They're very docile and sociable - they love meeting new people. They are not allowed in the guest room, but they do stay inside and sometimes sit on the terrace as it's their home too! If you don't like dogs, my home may not be the right accomodation for you, so please consider this before making a booking. :)

Other things to note
This is my most recent house! BUT I do have past reviews for other properties where I've lived/hosted, so you can still read what past guests have said about me as a host!

Guests travelling with their dog are welcome and the one-time FEE you pay for your dog, I will donate to an animal rescue charity.

As mentioned previously, the common room has a sofabed so can also be used as an overflow space if you're travelling with friends or family. Please read the room details or ask me for more info.

As I live on higher ground, there are inclines and cobbled/bricked lanes to walk on in order to reach my home (if you're on foot in the city). If you have some mobility limitations you may find this challenging.

A simple complimentary breakfast is available via vouchers at our local bar, just 2 minutes away on-foot. This can be discussed before you arrive.

My work: Freelance Writer, Artisan, Shiatsu Therapist, and bon viveur!

Ciao! I'm Dianne, a Canada-born artisan/writer and ‘bon-viveur’ living in Penne's medieval centre. I make fabulous artisanal scented soya wax candles and I also teach specialty workshops on Candlemaking. (Among other things!)  For 8 years I lived in a country village near the Amalfi Coasti in the south of Italy (This is why some of my past AirBnB reviews reflect the Amalfi Coast), where I also hosted travellers from all over the world!  Then I moved to Stamford UK for 7 years (more reviews...) and now I’m back in Italy! I love to travel and also use Airbnb myself. One of the best parts of travelling and HOSTING is meeting new friends /making new connections and sharing experiences! I pride myself on being the best host I can be and want everyone to have a lovely and restful stay! I have lots of tips and recommendations that I've put into a guidebook, written for just for my guests. Plus if you'd like help with reservations or booking tours, I'm here to help! My canine family are Schatze, Riba and Boone, which are English Setter rescue dogs I adopted here in Italy. They are super friendly and mellow, and if you’re missing your own dogs from home, you can be sure they will welcome some cuddles and attention! We looking forward to meeting you and are keen to help you make the most of your stay!
