We are a young married couple from Turkey.
When I first saw this review I was shocked, then appalled, then hurt, which then turned to anger. When someone has a problem whilst staying in my apartment I am very willing to solve the problem. I have a commitment to making my guest comfortable. I’m even ready to listen regardless if the client is lying or telling only a half-truth. During check- in, I advise our guest to contact me if there is a problem. Our apartment has been listed on 7 different websites for the last three years, and all of our reviews have been positive. We’ve been listed on AirBnB since January 2013, and all of our reviews have been positive.
The review left by Mr. Ferit Akin, was a shock, especially after speaking with him at check –out. To then receive such a scathing, hurtful commentary, filled with half-truths, a broad distortion of the facts and just an unscrupulous attack was quite disappointing.
I must suggest to, Mr. Ferit Akin, that you should not use AirBnB, because it’s a community of honesty and sharing. I will respond to all of your distorted truths in private feedback, to yourself and the AirBnB customer service team, as I responded to your concerns whilst you were staying in our apartment.
What’s disturbing to me Mr. Ferit Akin is your private feedback. The public review you wrote concerning our apartment are exaggerated distortions of the truth with petty examples of fabrication. Yet, your private feedback is an outright lie, and a slander to me as a caring Host. To say you ¨did not like my attitude towards you and your family¨, implies I treated you badly, or differently than others, when my reviews speak for themselves.
To say, you ¨expect a smiling face and concern¨, as if that wasn’t the case, and I as per usual was very helpful, sent you two of my families favorite restaurants as suggestions, and addressed all of your concerns everyday throughout your stay as I do with all who stay in our apartment.
I welcomed you and your family into our apartment with a warm heart, and open arms along with being helpful and attentive to your concerns.
My question is, if you believed that I was a ´host with a bad attitude why didn’t you put that in your public review, since you seemed to have no problem comparing my apartment to a park bench as your quote follows:
¨Well this flat could be an alternative to bench, and more expensive compared to a caravan¨
Mr. Ferit Akin, I feel you were ungrateful people, after I allowed you in my apartment, that you’re an unpleasant person to write such things after smiling in my face at check –out, yet I have no regrets, actually you’ve alerted me to be more aware of potential clients as yourself.
I wish you good luck, and I will not, not recommend you to other AirBnbB host, I will just say to others, BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Ferit, his wife and sister were great airbnb guests. Friendly and prompt communication during the booking process as well as in person. They kept the apartement in pristine condition. Highly recommended!
