Bassam was a great host and the apartment is accurately described. The bed is comfortable the room is spacious and the bathroom is extremely clean. The room is in a basement but it's no bother considering I was staying several blocks away from time square and for a very reasonable rate.
We stay here for 3 nights and feel very happy. The room is clean and safe. The location here is pretty convenient, 5 minutes to the subway station and 15 minutes to Times Square in walking distance. By the way, the host Bassam is a very nice gentle man. It's pretty a good staying here. If my friends come to New York, I'll recommend them to live here.
The host was pretty welcome us. And the location was so good. I was really enjoying staying in his place
Bassam was a great host! I messed up the directions to the location and he was more than accommodating in helping me get there. The location is nicely-appointed and had everything I was looking for. The proximity to restaurants, bars, Times Square, The High Line, and Central Park was perfect and the location (across the street from a school) was safe and well-lit. No issues at all coming & going to the location and if you're taking Megabus it drops you off about 10 minutes down the road. Water pressure was great in the shower, the room had plenty of storage, sufficient lighting, and good ventilation.
The location is great. He accepted us on a very short notice. That was very appreciated. We barely saw him as he gave us the keys and the room had direct street access. Lots of privacy. The pictures were a little misleading, but it was a good place, I would stay there again!
Bassam is a lovely host who is very responsive via text. He was also very flexible with arrival and departure times, which was much appreciated. The location is about a ten minute walk from several prominent train lines, and the room and bathroom itself is nothing glamorous, but perfectly fine for a place to sleep and shower, which is all you need when there's a whole city to explore. Please note, there are two different rooms (individual bathroom attached to each) that are separated by a dead bolted door. The room in the photo is not the room we stayed in, but looks somewhat similar. The rooms are in the basement of the building, which can sometimes get noisy, and there are not many windows, but this is New York, so that's to be expected. Overall, a perfectly serviceable place to stay for a long weekend.
The room was perfect for our vacation in New York! Very clean and quiet. There was enough space fot two people and 3 luggages.
The bathroom was perfect too.
THe potition is very central and perfect to visit Midtown Manhattan. Very near to the main subway stations (5 min on foot).
Bassam was very nice with us. He gave us all the advices we asked for and during our stay often sent us messages to know if everything was ok.
Everything was perfect. When we return to new york, we'll stay at Bassam's place again for sure :)
Bassam was very patient waiting for me to arrive in NYC. My friend and i got lost but he was very helpful to wait for us. The room was perfect location near Times Square and the Christmas tree. =)
I would stay again at his place the next time i am there.
Thank you kindly for everything and quick replies too. You saved the day!
Bassam made us feel welcome, communicates well and explained everything well when we checked in. It was a shared bath but we never saw anyone else use it. The neighborhood was safe and very close to Times Square.
