Easy going place
It was good. Exactly what I needed.
This hotel was great! the people were nice and made sure that we had what we needed. The hotel is in a kinda sketchy neighborhood so if you are easily spooked beware. I was fine and didn't feel threatened. The hotel was nice enough to hold our luggage for us until we needed to leave to catch our plane. Great experience!
Great place to stay !
I enjoyed my stay at the Regency Inn. It was a decent and clean room, for a reasonable price. Though it was an older building, and could use some renovation, the location was good the bed comfortable, and it was reasonably clean.
Had a good stay. The room was clean, and exactly as pictured. Great for one night. When we arrived in the afternoon, the neighborhood looked sketchy, and I was nervous to go back late at night. I was pleasantly surprised when we got back to the hotel around 1am, the street was empty and quiet. If it weren't for the marathon running by in early morning, I would've had a great night sleep!
Nice little Inn. Clean and tidy.
Room looks exactly as pictured and fit the bill for being very affordable and convenient. Yes there are lots of homeless people around, it's in the Tenderloin but for the price and location near downtown it didn't bother me at all. I was concerned about bed bugs based on a review on trip advisor, but I checked the mattress and room thoroughly and found none. When I checked out in the morning the proprietor was very friendly and made sure I was happy with my stay. I was!
The place was what I was looking for and expecting. The Regency Inn is in a bit of a rough and dirty neighborhood (more so than anywhere else I went in SF and that was a negative for the place) but it's only a short walk to get to many fun places (like the Asian Art Museum). The bed was comfortable enough and the TV large. The complimentary breakfast was sparse but still appreciated. For the price in SF, it's tough to beat.
The Regency Inn delivers good value for the price you pay. For less than 70 USD a night in SFO, you can't expect a luxurious place, but the Regency Inn offers all amenities a hotel should offer.
The neighbourhood is not as bad, but there are quite a few homeless people and junkies around. I never felt unsafe though.
Breakfast is very basic and the room not very welcoming. That said, it exceeded my expectation for the price paid.
I would stay again at this hotel.
