Todd and Carrie were excellent host for our trip. The house was very clean and easily slept 4 adults; however if you have difficulty navigating stairs then 3 beds would be a challenge to get to. The decor was eclectic, quirky and may be unnerving to more traditional guests. There were dishes and utensil available. The house was an easy 10 minute walk to Fairhaven.
I had a nice time. Todd and Carrie were very easy to get a hold of. Place was clean and well kept. The dolls were both fascinating and terrifying (haha). My friends and I enjoyed all of the funky art in the space. Id come back.
I love love love this place! It's one of my favorite places I have stayed at through airbnb. I have to travel a lot for work and work from wherever I stay, so it's always wonderful to have a place that you actually enjoy being in all day! The pictures are totally accurate. The location is quiet and you can walk into Fairhaven (so cute!) or drive into Bellingham. I would definitely stay again or recommend to anyone.
Clean and comfortable. We loved spending the day in Bellingham's shops and breweries and the short walk into Fairhaven was great too! We'll be back.
Such a charming little cottage. We enjoyed our stay here thoroughly and loved the sound of the rain hitting the roof right above the loft. The bathroom is inside the main house, only drawback to the experience. However, the hosts were polite and distant making it more comfortable to come into the house.
I had a wonderful time staying with Todd and Carrie. The hosts are super helpful and very accommodating. The small bungalow is amazing, colorful, bright and clean! Best Sleep ever!!
We travelled to Bellingham north via beautiful Chuckanut Drive, and Carrie was arriving at their home right next door to the bungalow when we arrived. We were met with a welcoming wave and cheery hello, and a shout-out reminding us to let them know if we needed anything during our stay. Very comfortable for two women travelling alone to have their hosts right next door. Their Fairhaven Bohemian Bungalow was charming in every way, and very well-equipped/well supplied. (A roll of saran wrap would have been handy to have in the kitchen, as would a nightlight, which we thought of picking up while visiting Haggen grocery, but then forgot to!) The bungalow is a family affair and their older son helped us when we waved him down when we found ourselves mechanically challenged by the lock-box (kids know how everything works!). Later that evening, Todd happily brought us a map of Fairhaven when we discovered the house-copy wasn't there (Yes, we are unleashed--no GPS/cell-phone/internet/iPad!). As my sister and I are older with vision issues and needing to use the bathroom a few times during the night, we opted to use the main-floor bedroom for her, and I gathered linens from the loft bed to bunk on the main-floor sofa during our stay. That sofa was awesomely large and comfortable and extra wide--a day-bed of sorts so it worked out beautifully. The one-step changes in floor levels throughout the main-floor of the house might be challenging for some; we solved the problem by laying books at each end of the level-changes as visual cues. As the home is wonderfully and eclectically decorated, a colorful stripe painted on each of those level changes would solve that issue permanently. The home is quiet, cozy and charming, conducive to taking naps :) , and very comfortably furnished. As our weekend had variable weather changes, we enjoyed just curling up with our books and Sudoku puzzles on a particularly windy and rainy day during our stay. The bungalow is located in a very quiet neighborhood in great proximity to Fairhaven's many shops, book stores, bakeries and eateries. It's a very walkable distance. Carrie and Todd were very responsive to emails and questions while making arrangements for our stay, and quick-to-respond with questions/helps during our stay. This is a great house for a couple, or for a family (kids in particular would love the loft and the fun and cozy upstairs bedrooms), and Fairhaven, is a great area to explore with easy access to and from I-5. My sister and I are thinking to return to Carrie and Todd's Bohemian Bungalow for another get-away to the Bellingham area next year!
Todd and Carrie's cottage is truely charming! A very cozy and comfortable place to stay, within walking distance to shoes, cafes and restaurants in Fairhaven. They responded immediately to my same day request and were warm and welcoming when I arrived.
This adorable bungalow was perfect for my 2 night stay in Bellingham. Was able to host a small dinner for my daughter and her college friends and the the house had everything I needed to cook a nice dinner. I loved the eclectic, beachy feel of the decor, especially Grandma's Studio. I will be back!
The cottage is very cute, clean, warm, comfortable.
Todd, Carrie and the animals were all friendly. They recommended a fun place for us to eat breakfast.
The bathroom is just a few feet from the house. Lovely, warm toilet seat.
The cottage is in the Fairhaven area as stated. It is a long walk into the town of Fairhaven.
Carrie and Paloma were fantastic and so quiet! We did not hear a peep downstairs. Left the space as found and very clean. Thank you both for being awesome guests.
Carrie was, as always, a delightful guest and individual! Highly recommend her as a guest!
As always, Carrie was a model guest...clean, quiet, we barely knew she was there!
As before-Carrie was delightful and very easy to host-would love to have her here anytime she is in town. :-)
This was the second time this lovely family stayed at my place and they were just as considerate as before! Wonderful to have them stay again. So, if they want to be guests at your place - book 'em!
Todd's wife and kids stayed for 2 nights and they were perfect guests! They look like they didn't even use any of the kitchen appliances at all. They were very considerate and I wouldn't wait a moment if part or all of Todd's family wanted to stay at your place!
Carrie was a delightful guest! She was such an easy, laid back, and self-sufficient guest that hosting her was an absolute breeze! Additionally, she has a great deal of knowledge and experience in things I find interesting (business, law, old houses, dogs, kids, etc.) so I found her a great conversationalist. I would be delighted to host her again anytime!
Todd was a great guest! Easy to work with and and a good communicator. Highly recommended!!
Carrie stayed at our Cottage and while we didn't get the chance to meet, her correspondence was polite and courteous. She kept me informed of her travel plans and the Cottage was well cared for during her stay. She would be most welcome to return.
Carrie was a wonderful guest her and her husband Todd communicated well and kept me up to date. I wouldn't have known anyone had stayed the apartment it was left so nicely. I would love to have Carrie and her husband return anytime.
