We had a wonderful stay with Lucia in Florence. The room is in the basement which was awesome as an escape frm the heat in the middle of the day. Lucia was very kind and helpful to us during our stay. It is a little bit of a walk to the centre which is not bad as it means it is very quiet. Otherwise the bus is very easy if you don't want to walk. Would definitely stay again.
Lucia was a delight to meet - I just wish I have stayed a bit longer, just to get to know her. I sort of came in, left my stuff, took a shower and ran out, I had one last day left in Florence, and wanted to make the most of it. I think out of all Italian cities so far Florence is my best, and people whose apartments I rented, and stayed with were definitely part of it. Lucia's place is clean, warm and welcoming. It is in the basement, Lucia herself lives upstairs, during the hot day of July it was cool and refreshing, has its own living room and bathroom. Smelled so good there too - and she has this vase full of chocolate, and I tried one, and it was oh so good, meant to ask her what they were and forgot. It is in a quiet neighborhood, close enough to the city center, if you love walking it is a good walk, but far enough so you are away from the city noise, yes center of Florence can get noisy :)
Thank you Lucia it was a pleasure to meet you.
Lucia was the perfect hostess, she gave us so much information to make our stay very enjoyable, even language lessons in Italian! Her townhome is located a few blocks from the Arno River and the Ponte San Niccolo, a short walk to the Ponte Vecchio and the Piazza della Signoria. There is a bus stop right across the street on the Via Coluccio Salutati and the buses are very user friendly. Easy access to anywhere you want to visit in Florence, yet far enough away from the crowds in the city center.
We will stay at Lucia's "Corte Verde" on our next visit to Florence.
Ciao, Bill & Nadine F
Lucia was an absolutely phenomenal guest--respected my place, accommodated me on check-in and check-out, left the place cleaner than it was before, and was an all-around nice person. Would recommend to anybody--always welcome in my home! A++
Lucia est une personne trés sympathique et agréable, vous pouvez lui confier votre maison en toute tranquillité, tres bonne cliente..
It was a pleasure to have her in my home. She is a very nice, kind and respectful person. I hope she will come and stay again.
Lucia and Serena were very respectful guests and took good care of everything.
It was a pleasure to meet both, i hope see them again :)
We would welcome them back again!
Both Lucia and her friend were very nice and friendly. Initial communication was very smooth, they even kept me well informed about their delayed flight. They also took good care of the apartment and left it spotless. I would definitely like to see them again as our guests.
Ms. Lucia was a great guest. She was very personable clean and polite. She is welcome back again. Good luck with your life and I hope she comes to visit again :)
Lucia was great! very nice and considering. she took good care of my place and left it clean and tidy. I definitely recommend taking her as a tenant. thank you and please come back again!
I found Lucia through craigslist! I had posted an inquiry about when I was going to be traveling in Italy and she responded. It was great to be able to email back and forth as well as Skype - it made me feel much more relaxed about renting a place from so far away. Lucia was the BEST host I could have hoped to find. Not only did we become great friends, but she was very helpful telling me the best places to go in Florence and assisting me with figuring out the buses and directions! We cooked dinners together and had some fun road trips! I think the reason this was the perfect place for me was because Lucia and I were very similar. We are both very respectful of sharing a living space, being quiet, keeping it clean and clutter free. The layout of her adorable apartment is great for roommates because you both have enough privacy, but can share the upstairs too. The location to downtown was also perfect because it was far enough away from the tourist hubbub but very walkable to all the major sites! I could go on and on about how much I loved living in Florence, but it wouldn't have been the same without my stay at Lucia's! Lo amo firenze!!
A wonderful apartment in a fabulous location. I spent the summer there and it was terrific! Far enough from the bustle of Firenze, but close enough to walk to the center. It's in a lovely area near the Arno and within a short (and picturesque) distance from Piazza Michelangelo. The neighborhood is complete with bars, cafes, and local butcher/ cheese shops. Lucia is an utterly unbeatable hostess! Very attentive and lovely in every way. Highly highly recommended!
Lucia was amazing, great (email hidden)ar the center of firenze (close walking distance). Can take a short bus ride if needed. Apt recently renovated, very nice, very clean. Would definitley recommend
