Lovely house, great host and a fantastic place to spend the Spring Festival. Can't recommend enough.
太棒的体验了 虽然曾在杭州度过了四年多 但小明家山上提供的完全是全新的体验 屋如其人 会再回来住 跟小明聊天喝茶玩小白 谢谢小明的早餐！
Xiaoming's studio is like a dream, her little cozy hut is located in a tea plantation that is famous for producing high quality Longjing tea. It was truly a bliss to have spent a few nights in this picturesque tea mountain, accompanied by a gracious host who is also an excellent cook!
The room was clean and tidy, beautifully decorated with art works and dried flowers. Breakfast is served with style, and there are always fresh fruits, tasty snacks and hot tea prepared to serve the guests.
For me, the location is perfect. It is secluded and surrounded by beautiful nature, but still very convenient to get to any tourist spot. The studio is situated in Xi Hu area, it's only 10-15 mins walk to nearby temples and parks, and barely 5 mins walk to a bus stop if you want to head out to the city or do some sight seeing along the West Lake. Plenty of taxi in the mountain during daytime, a taxi ride to West Lake cost less than 3 dollars.
The place was so nice I decided to stay in most of the time and chill.
Yes, you can still get fast internet speed in the mountain. I had no trouble downloading movies online or make video calls with friends back home.
There's a very good local restaurant in the village, just less than 10 mins walk from the studio. The chef makes excellent dishes like steamed fish and sweet & sour pork. It's a hill side restaurant, so you'll get a great view of the tea mountain while having lunch there.
I highly recommend this charming studio to couples and solo traveller. Get a bottle of wine or make a pot of hot tea, have a tug in the beanbag(yes, there's a beanbag provided for outdoor sun tans), breath in those fresh mountain air, unwind your mind, and enjoy some rare moments of tranquility.
Despite being winter, the place is comfortably warm with heater and electric blanket. The place is also very beautiful. It has a scholarly Jiangnan feel that reminisces poems and paintings.
The host Xiaoming is very nice and helpful. She made simple but healthy breakfast for me every morning and helped me plan my journey to the railway station.
Xiaoming has a few dogs and they are really fun to play with. They would follow you around and sit beside you when outside. Dog lovers will definitely love them!
The place is actually a few metres away from the stated address because the place itself does not have one. Nonetheless, I think the location is good because it is near the Longjing area.
I will definitely come back to this place again if I visit the area next time!
Xiaoming's studio was extremely clean and cutely decorated, with warm slippers, a space heater, and electric blanket pad to compliment the cold weather.
She and her pups met us at our cab and we walked up to the studio together. In the morning, she had made a lovely breakfast to share - hot porridge, kimchi, and kimchi pancakes, all very tasty and a lovely way to start the day.
If you are considering staying on this side of the lake or want to check our the tea mountain, I definitely recommend this lovely little place. A nearby bus line can also be used to get back into town.
Fantastic host and really nice experience. The room is small but lovely, we stay there for two days and feel comfortable.
