Cathryn was a great hostess...welcoming with lots of suggestions on what to do and where to eat (even emailing some ahead of time at my request), yet also very considerate of our privacy. The Nest was just as described, with comfy bed and great views! We loved it.
I highly recommend the scenic 40 mile drive of San Francisco. (Google on it and download the maps.) What a great way to spend a day.
This cozy nest is both beautiful and close to all the wonderful spots we wanted to explore. The view is spectacular, and our host was so warm and hospitable; she made sure to make everything easy for us. She had great recommendations for eats and things to check out. If you are visiting SF, please check this spot out. It is worth EVERY penny.
Our bed was so very comfortable that after a day of travel we slipped in between the sheets and slept like babies. Our room looked out to a view with no neighbors across the street. And the view from the common living room, looks out across the Mission, all the way to Twin Peaks, where the fog was held back from covering the whole city. From the balcony, I watched a pair of hawks soaring through the wind, looking from South Bay all the way around to the tall buildings of downtown and the towers of the Golden Gate Bridge, peaking over the hill.
Our schedules synced with Cathryn's enough that she was able to show us the best way for us to make our selves at home. And so we did. Relaxing in our room, and in the living room and kitchen. And every way you turn, you see more art and decor that you missed the first time. Thankfully the location worked perfectly for us. We were able to use public transport and Lyft to get wherever we needed.
Absolutely stunning apartment, the views are incredible.
Very well located and Cathryn was such a lovely host.
We enjoyed our stay at Cathryn's beautiful home. Though we didn't get to meet her, but she left no stone unturned to ensure that our stay was most comfortable. She was prompt in answering all our queries.
Potrero hill neighbourhood has a lot of character and a unique SF feel to it, and Cathyrn's house is perched on a hill that affords majestic views!
We loved staying here. Nice and quiet, great view. Fantastic Host.
Thank you for your kind words! Glad you were comfortable and enjoyed your stay...
Cathryn is a delightful and gracious host, always attentive yet not intrusive. She ensured I was comfortable and felt welcomed. Her home is elegant, clean and comfy. I was always very impressed by the stunning views. I was able to commute from Potrero to downtown easily using the T train. The neighborhood is convenient and lovely with lots of nice restaurants on 18th Street as well as a Whole Foods nearby on 17h Street. I highly recommend Cathryn's place and look forward to another opportunity to stay at the Nest.
Everything worked out great for our Thanksgiving in San Francisco. This townhouse was very clean, quiet, convenient to our family, and perfect for what we needed. It has great views including a glimpse of the golden gate bridge towers when it is clear enough. Our son brought us a bag of Philz Tesora coffee and the coffee maker brewed it perfectly. We'll definitely stay here again when we need two bedrooms. Even the radio in the master was tuned to NPR station KQED, so I didn't have to search for it.
The view from Sunny Potrero Township of san francisco is one of the best view you can get.
The house is really comfortable and we had a really nice time in that house.
I definitely would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good comfortable stay in SFO.
Canthryn was kind enough to call and let us know that it might rain during our stay in SFO and we can use her umbrellas. She also informed us and let us used other house hold utensils like washing machine and kitchen. She is definitely a kind hearted and nice host.
This house is great! We were warmly greeted upon arriving and given a tour. The location was gorgeous. The layout of the home was perfect for us. My girlfriend and I slept in the main bedroom while our other friend slept in the front bedroom. Both rooms are super cozy and the beds are as well. The bedrooms were separated on their own floors via a couple steps. Cathryn has an office downstairs she stayed in and we did not see her after the first day aside from a quick conversation in the morning. It was like she wasn't there.
There were nice restaurants and a great coffee shop within walking distance. Whole Foods as well as other supermarkets within walking distance too.
The home was delightfully decorated and the beds were so cozy we felt like we were at home. The fridge was stocked with what we needed and we were happy to fill it up with a little of our own groceries as well.
Couldn't have been happier with our stay. It's only a $17 cab ride from Bill Graham. We were in town for Phish!
She has a nice TV set up upstairs as well. We were able to re listen to the shows afterwards through my phone via Apple TV. Even watched South Park one night! She also has aux in on the stereo if you want to directly plug in. Everything is there if you know what you're doing technology wise. The wifi was perfect.
We will definitely be staying here again! Cathryn is a great host and her house is beautiful.
Cathryn & Scott were wonderful guests. They are experienced Airbnb'ers and we were delighted to have them in our home. We shared Airbnb stories as well as family stories, because (unknown to both parties before arrival) we shared ties to a local family in El Paso.
