Sally knocks the adage that “You cannot go home again” into a cocked hat. The fourth generation of her mother’s family to call Port Huron “home,” Sally left at the age of 13 with her mother and brother for Carmel, CA. Married to a career military man, Sally travelled across and around the United States with him and three children. She worked, graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College at the age of 54, did graduate work at The University of Georgia and St. Joseph’s College, worked some more – but always returned to Port Huron to visit childhood friends. In 2009, the lure of Lake Huron drew her back. Sally shares her residence adjacent to Lake Huron and gardens in process with two senior Golden Retrievers, Dulcinea and Riley.
