We loved every minute of our 3 night stay at the (website hidden) and her family were lovely and friendly, and made us feel like we'd found a home from home from the moment we arrived.
The granary conversion has been done so brilliantly, so the result is a cosy haven that is lovely to be in, with lovely decor and great natural light. The nearby area is well served with nice pubs, great views and picturesque walks - including Raglan Castle which was really impressive and well worth a visit.
A real highlight for us staying here was the superb record collection which provided the jazz, blues, soul, reggae and disco soundtrack to our trip. What more could you want? We would definitely recommend the Granary to any couple looking for a relaxing getaway. We can't wait to come back. Thanks Jo and Rui! :)
We had a lovely stay at the Converted Granary on Jo and Rui's farm! They made us feel very welcome to their incredible surroundings and nothing was too much trouble. The Granary itself was perfect for a couple; clean, cosy and a great collection of records that were very much appreciated during our stay. We managed to pick a couple of great days of sunshine and therefore enjoyed sitting in the garden admiring the stunning views and croquet on the lawn! The property is well situated with some lovely walks nearby and great restaurants to eat at in the evening. We highly recommend the property as well as the hosts themselves. Thanks you!
Cosy, well equipped and functional, beautifully decorated and in the most perfect spot – within easy reach of the Welsh border and with the most fantastic views of the Brecon Beacons.
The overtly friendly cat, wood burner and record collection and decks (everything from Bukem to James Brown) kept us entertained in the evenings.
We could recommend this place more highly.
Thanks Jo & Rui.
Firstly, Joanna made us feel more than welcome - we arrived to a warm cottage with the turntables set up and shelves of records to relax to! She showed us round the place whilst making note of the essential facilities (washrooms, wifi, kitchen) and the local attractions and restaurants.
We loved the cottage, the area, and the local restaurants! We appreciated staying in such a wonderful place, really, the cottage was ideal, homely, and just right for two travellers looking for a cosy little place to rest our heads after much trekking about the Welsh countryside.
What an amazing weekend break we had at the (website hidden) & her husband made us feel so welcome and its a glorious quiet part of Wales which is so easy to get to. The Granary is very well decorated with everything you need, from tea & coffee to breakfast. The vinyl collection will blow your mind, you don't need the TV! We enjoyed walking up Sugar Loaf mountain where the views are spectacular. This place has everything and would recommend to book a visit, we'll be going back!
The granary was beautiful! I stayed here for 2 nights, it was very comfortable and the area surrounding the farm is stunning. We built a fire as it was a little cold while we were there. Joanna was very helpful and friendly.
Lovely stay at this beautifully decorated conversion, everything was fantastic. Has anyone mentioned the fabulous vinyl collection....?
Highly recommended :-)
We had a lovely time at The Granary and felt very looked after and spoilt. Lots to explore around the local area too. Will certainly be booking a return visit!!
Joanna was a warm, approachable and generous hostess who made us feel very welcome to this beautiful part of Wales. The Granary is a stunning building - comfortable and full of interesting books and records, yet feels full of open space. Great fields and rural footpaths to walk around the surrounding area, and minutes away form the excellent Raglan castle. A treat of a stay. Thank you very much, Joanna.
Beautiful and cosy, didn't want to leave! Thanks Jo for a lovely few days - would highly recommend this one.
A good guest
Very nice guest and polite. Good communication.
I've been lucky enough to enjoy Jo and her family's hospitality and the joys of the Granary at Pentre Farm on many occasions. It's an idyllic spot that is surrounded by beautiful countryside and the Granary feels both like a cosy home and a classy (website hidden) has decorated the recently converted Granary with great style. There are lovely walks and views from the house, it really is a very special bit of the world and I always look forward to visiting.
