The balcony doors open to a stretch of rugged mountains; rolling one to another, densely green, granite patches, an ever changing sky clear blue to billowing clouds or wisps of haze swirling around mountain tops with Salerno on the sea in the distance. It is lush, tranquil, beautiful. I never tired of simply being there.
The apartment is small and comfortable. Although there is no kitchen, there is a small refrigerator. There is a store selling memorable mozzarella, tasty prosciutto, fresh bread, vegetables and fruit. A nearby hotel has an elegant dining room serving fabulous food with gracious service. I appreciated the meal discount as a b&b guest. People are friendly and helpful. The convenient bus service makes it easy to visit the surrounding area.
Antonio and his wife Anna Maria are charming, friendly and attentive. I was ill for a couple of days and Anna Maria delivered a lovely tray with tea and cookies.
I highly recommend a visit!
Absolutely unbelievable route to Cava de Tirreni! Make sure you have a small car! Narrow, picturesque, more than interesting, nightmare, scarey, heart-throbbing. That describes the journey to get to Antonio’s. One lane roads…only just one lane roads!
The apartment was tiny…. 2 double beds in the large bedroom, plus a bathroom and small dining/lounge area. Kitchen – what kitchen? It is possible to squeeze 2 people into the kitchen at the same time…. But only just! No toaster, no kettle/jug, similar to others in Eur in that regard. Gorgeous balcony with magnificent view. Antonio was a very warm host living close by. Parking? An experience! Good luck! Antonio’s English is limited but quite OK.
Second floor via staircase. Cava de Tirreni is a must see place.
