Retired from the SF Bay Area, living in Mexico for 12 years and counting.
I hope you enjoy the house and the city!!
s place is delightful. He has done qa wonderful job with creating a very unqiue Mexican environment - with class, style and real cleanliness. It is a peasure to stay in the apratment upstairs. And the colours and furnishings add to the whole expereince. Bill was also great with his knwoledge of the area's history and the town's highlights. And yes, we got lost - but Bill still waited up for us and welcomed us when we finally arrived - led by a local lady riding a pushbike who escorted us to Bill's door!
My boyfriend and I drove to Bill's house from Mexico city, and the drive took us longer than we had anticipated. Despite showing up at 12:30 in the morning, Bill graciously gave us directions and waited up for us to arrive safely. Because we were staying for over a week and he had no other guests at the time, he upgraded us to the upstairs room, complete with kitchen, bathroom, 2 beds, cable, wifi, AND coffee. Every morning we would come down on our way to breakfast and he would get out his giant map to help us find some of the most beautiful beaches and other natural attractions veracruz has to offer. He is very knowledgable about the area, and has great advice and goof directions ~ everything from where to eat to how to handle solicitors. He also had perfect street parking right in front of his house for our car. All around, we couldn't have asked for a better first experience with airbnb or traveling in Mexico. Thanks Bill!
My husband, our daughter and I stayed at the apartment suite on the second floor. It was just lovely! Bill prepared more than we needed for the stay. We had a comfortable stay and relaxed a lot. The apartment was quite nice and had a terrace. It was very clean. Bill was a very kind and friendly host. He gave us suggestions and advice on the area and where to visit. If Bill did not have a residence there we would never visited Tlacotalpan where is a very quiet and lovely town in Veracruz. Thank you so much Bill!
