Hey, I'm Tony!
Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States · Member since August 2011

Hi, I'm Tony — I live in Minneapolis, used to live in the Bay Area, and travel back and forth between quite frequently. I love exploring new cities, and Airbnb has been awesome for exploring what life is like without feeling like a tourist.

For work, I'm a software engineer. I've built websites and apps for lots of household brands, and most of my work lately has been related to healthcare. Aside from my 'real' job, I'm really into photography - I take photos when traveling and I do live theater and sports work. I often have a camera around my neck. I like finding cafés with good tea and vegan food.

Having recently purchased my first house, I have tremendous respect for hosts' homes, and I clean up after myself. I'm a quiet, introverted guy, and I don't party or drink. I'm also pretty chill and I sleep through almost anything. I always look for places that will be relatively relaxing because traveling tends to wipe me out, and I like to sleep in. I stay up late working (yeah, even on vacation) but I try to be in bed pretty early. I'm very adaptable, but I like lots of pillows and colder rooms.

Thanks! I look forward to meeting you.

I sometimes travel with my dog, but I'll explicitly let you know if I'm wishing to bring her with on my stay. She's a very loving and affectionate lab/collie mix, about three years old. She's smaller than most labs at about 48 pounds. I've had her since she was six months old. She loves kisses and snuggling. She is always amazingly excited to meet new people. She goes to doggy daycare frequently and she's very good playing with other dogs both bigger and smaller than her. If you have a dog, she often makes a bunch of noises for a few seconds upon meeting a new dog, but she's a very good, non-aggressive play partner. She doesn't bark inside. The only time she barks is when she's startled by something at night and wants to alert me (like someone walking in an alley or a 'scary' bag of leaves) but she stops right away. I always bring doggy bags to clean up after her, and she's always on a leash outside. She is never left unattended when traveling. No treats please.
