I am a life longer New Yorker, raised in Corona Queens New York. I am a consultant for non profit executives and I teach higher education courses in social and environmental entrepreneurship and design management. I want to relocate and I am using airbnb to explore other cities that I may want to make my home someday in the near future.
Right now I am trying to balance a hunger for adventure and excitement while living lightly on the earth. (It's really difficult!)
I am trying to learn spanish (its been a life long struggle), also interested in pottery making, I enjoy cooking and reading, writing (my blog (URL HIDDEN) music, dancing, traveling (of course). As far as animals I get along well with them most of the time but my favorites are fish, reptiles and amphibians.
5 things I can't live without: laughter, family/friends, buttery foods, books, Internet access/smart gadgets
Favorite travel destination: Bay Area, Cali, New Orleans, Portland , anywhere in the Caribbean
Books: God of Small Things, Half of a Yellow Sun, If Beale Street Could Talk, Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, anything by Malcolm Gladwell, the Lacuna, Poisonwood Bible, anything by Amy Tan
Shows: 80s/90s sitcoms, Parks and Rec,
Traveling Style: I want to take in as much as possible to get a sense of what it's like to actually live there, meet new people form new friendships, participate in projects even if just cooking a meal or planning a party. I am easy going, go with the flow
Music: jazz, bob marley, conscious hip hop , 80s soft rock , 90s grunge, 70s-90s r&b
Motto: lately this quote by segue inventor Dean Kamen has been inspiring: "In free societies we get what we celebrate."
