I had a lovely stay, Farida was so helpful with arranging airport pick-ups and helping me get around town. The house is nice and clean, and has a fully equipped kitchen. 100% recommended!
Farida is a generous and lovely hostess. Her apartment is beautifully appointed and immaculate. Security is good, and the neighborhood is mostly quiet (except for Sunday morning gospel church rock concert). I came to study at Makerere University CoVAB Vet School, and the location could not be better. It is a short walk through gardens and pasture to the Northern end of campus.
This is my first Airbnb experience and I am most satisfied.
Thanks Kaja, glad you enjoyed the expirence :)
Farida is great - very welcoming and supportive. The apartment is well designed and extremely comfortable, and well situated for work at Mulago / Makerere. Highly recommend!
A perfect place for me working at Makerere University since it's only a few minutes by foot. It was great to have Farida there, watching TV with her and chatting away. She's a fantastic and caring host and an obviously tough business woman at the same time. The room was designed with love, and there's a cleaning lady every day. Couldn't have been better for these few days, and I'm already missing the cozy atmosphere while I'm in Entebbe. Warm wishes to Farida, Melanie ...
Thank you Melanie, it was a delight having you around :).
Farida is a very friendly host. Her apartment is really nicely designed and has all the necessities you would need. Having an en-suite room is super convenient. I recommend staying at Farida's place.
it was a delight having you around Hilda, hope to bump into you soon :)
I truly recommand this place. The apartment is neat, safe, well-equipped and cosy - well-stocked kitchen and private bathroom. And Farida is a great host ! She makes you feel comfortable in her home. I really appreciate how Farida made sure I had a great stay, helping with transportation and advices on the city. Thank you so much Farida!!
You are welcome Helene....it was a pleasure hosting you :)).
I will put a small lamp in the room :).
The room and apartment are comfortable and very secure (inside a gated complex). The apartment is very stylishly furnished and the amenities adequate.
Farida is a great host, very considerate and helpful. I doubt very much you can do better than this for the price, especially for longer stays.
The location is central enough that getting to town is quick, and if you need to visit Makerere University the location is perfect. However, the downsides of the location are that it is not brilliantly served by public transport and the street is unlit, making it a little difficult to get around at night. But you can usually find a boda boda (motorcycle taxi).
Also be aware that noisy church services start early on Sunday mornings.
I lived with Farida from July to October 2013, and I share with her the beautiful apartment where she lives.
She's a pleasant roommate and nice friend, with good taste for furniture and interior design. The house is stylish and makes your staying in Uganda, very pleasant.
With Farida, we used to watch TV and movies together, go out, have some food and interesting talk, but everyone of us could have its own life, and communication, since the beginning was very clear and honest to make things work well.
I really recommend the apartment and especially Farida: it will make your experience much better!
Farida is an awesome housemate and friend. Her sense of interior design means you'll always be living in a modern, well-arranged space. She's really fun, always straightforward, generous and always willing to share local knowledge and help you out - but totally considerate and respectful of personal space. We met as housemates 2 years ago when I moved to Kampala and have been friends since, meeting up even on the other side of the world.
