My OLD description (Mar. 2010):
Honolulu High School grad living the good life in the world's best city: San Francisco. Where else can you ride your bike to work, see men in leather chaps on any given weekend and eat gigantic burritos?! Always looking for a nice (non-Waikiki) place to stay when I journey home to see my family on O'ahu.
My NEW description (Sept. 2012-much can happen in 2 years):
Slightly disoriented San Franciscan living in Honolulu, trying to figure out how being raised in Hawaii, living in San Francisco for 21 years and then suddenly living back on O'ahu has affected my equilibrium. You can take me out of The City, but you can't take me out of my black clothing, pin-up hair and love of *real non-slipper* shoes. It's a simultaneously complicated, simple existence that provokes my love of the weather, with a frustration at the lack of public transportation (and the astronomical price of gas, food and lodging).
With such a profound conundrum, I try to get back to The City at least twice a year. I could stay with friends, but I prefer they *stay* my friends so I like to use airbnb. Plus, it allows me to meet more San Franciscans!
