I'm a graduate student working toward a PhD in electrical engineering at Boston University. My main area of study is using sensors to investigate ionosphere and other near earth space phenomena. Before that I worked as a sensors engineer for a fairly large company.
I've traveled a lot for work in the past, I mainly stayed in hotels. I've just started on Airbnb because I heard a lot of good things from friends. It also seems to have some nice choices in terms of places to stay.
In terms of where I've traveled I've been around the country quite a bit, for example I've been to Alaska, Seattle, Boulder, Oklahoma. I haven't done too much international traveling but I did go to Sri Lanka.
In terms of being a guest, I try to remain courteous at all times. I usually keep to myself and find a few things to do on my own but I'm open to suggestions on activities. I have a lot of friends spread throughout the US (mainly from college) so if I'm on a trip, I usually try to take the opportunity to see them.
I also play guitar, at times I may bring my electric guitar with me. I have an adapter and play it through my phone with head phones on. Although if anyone wants to jam I'm down for that too.
