I'm a writer and editor from Rochester, NY now living in Portland, OR. I write about technology for my job, so I'm a huge geek, but I also love running, camping, motorcycles, and of course travel.
My daughter needed a place in Portland at the last minute over Christmas break and Nick's apartment was ideal! She said, "convenient location. i spent a lot of time on the southeast side around hawthorne and also downtown, and both were walkable (for me). Also convenient bus stop right at the corner, and bouldering gym just a block away and a coffee shop across the street. Neighbourhood is quiet. Lots of space + comfy bed. We gave him very short notice and it was ALL GOOD!" Thanks Nick.
Nick was a great host! Even though we did not meet in person (he was out of town), the pre trip correspondence was detailed and accounted for everything we needed to know. The apartment was clean and well set up for what we needed for our first time in Portland. It is in a great location, a short walk and even shorter bike ride to downtown with its own neighbourhood maintaining its own charms. Thanks Nick! We will definitely be back to Portland.
Very nice place, good location (bus stop was some meters away), very clean and comfortable. Would recommend and stay there again. Bed was veeeery comfortable. I overslept the whole stay.
Nick's place was great and the location was perfect. It's located between Heart Coffee and Voodoo Doughnut so you can basically experience the perfect breakfast pairing multiple times a day if you want. Nick was very responsive over both the phone and email. Great host!
Nick was great to communicate with-always quick to respond. Although we never got to meet him-key pickup was a breeze. His apartment is clean and it was just what we needed to come back to after a day of shopping. Sound system - top notch. The apt is central and located in a quiet neighbourhood with plenty of parking. Lloyd Center is 5 min drive north. Overall experience was positive. Thanks again Nick!
Nick's place was perfect. Great location, clean, and everything I needed. Like a home away from home.
I had a great stay at nicks place in Portland. He was out of town but the key was easily accessible and the place was clean and well stocked. The motorcycle cafe across the street had a ton of character and good coffee and food.
Nick left me some great recommendations on Portland and was easy to communicate with over text. Parking was free and easy.
Spent a weekend at Nick's place. Nick was easy to work with and I would recommend the apartment. It is perfect for a single person or couple. It is well located in a walkable neighborhood and was well represented by the listing.
The place was fantastic! Centrally located between the east and west side. Very safe and happening area. Be sure to check out the motorcycle cafe across the street! We weren't expecting too much for the price, but the place is actually nicer than the photos. Super clean too. Would definitely stay again. Nick was also a very generous host and let us check out late and even lent me his bicycle!
Nick was an extremely gracious host. Super fast to answer questions and give detailed instructions. He was very flexible in adjusting to my check in and check out times and even stayed at a friends house the last night to accommodate my full stay. His place is very comfortable. It's small but I never felt cramped as the kitchen and living room are in one airy, light-filled space. The hardwood floors are a nice touch, the entertainment system top notch, and the bed super comfy! Great location too. Thanks Nick!
Nick and Jeff were nice guys!!! They spent almost all the days working but when they were at home we had a good feeling with them. They were funny and we spent a really nice night walking around Barcelona with them. Guys, you are really welcome next time!!!!!!!!!!!!
