Pura Vida! Parrots, toucans and monkeys from the privacy of your own balcony. Drew and Nick made us feel welcome and included during our week--long stay and even helped arrange a boat trip for us to Corcovado. If you come, make sure you eat at least one meal there - Drew is a great cook! His waterfall tour is also highly recommended, especially if you would like to experience diving from the cliffs for a refreshing swim in the pool. We don't surf but the guys give lessons and are often headed out for a day of surfing at the local beaches. We will miss the little casita!
The host was very welcoming and the house was in a great location with a fantastic view. Easy to find and, when the Internet was up and running, the host was responsive. My only two complaints were the lack of curtains/blinds (we were there for the Envision festival and *tried*to take naps during the day), and we didn't have any towls. We eventually went to the main house to ask for towels, which were quickly provided by a house volunteer. Also, we tried to check out/figure out where to leave the keys, but we couldn't find the host so we ended up just leaving the keys @ the house. Overall, it's a great place. If you're looking for a resort, you should check out other places, but this house definetly has a magic of its own.
The home was very simple and a great location for the local festival . Anything we needed was available and we were unhappy we didn't have time for a guided tour but Andrew and his friends seemed great. Certainly comfortable enough for two people . Unfortunately the home was broken in to and robbed one evening while we were away including quite a few personal valuables . Although it's out of the hosts hands completely , some additional security measures could have been taken to make us more comfortable I.e. Pad locks on gate and back door .... Our last evening we slept with doors wide open because they had been broken in to . I don't want to misrepresent this as a dangerous area because it doesn't seem to be so.... But rather some opportunity thieves due to the local event . Still .... More secure premises would be crucial
Loved these cabinas! Great view, clean, spacious, and private. Loved the outdoor bathroom and shower! Andrew was an excellent host - very welcoming! We'd definitely stay here again!
Hands down the best way to experience Uvita! Tucked up in the hills with gorgeous views and only a 10 minute drive to the beach, it offered everything we were looking for. Andrew was awesome and a generous host, allowing us to stay a day later than planned. Highly recommend!
Had a great time at the Mango house, Andrew is a great host that made everything smooooth thru the whole stay. Great views and nature all around.
My partner Jonny and I had a wonderful and unique stay at Casita de la Selva! Andrew our Host was an awesome highlight of our trip. He is a super down to Earth person and gives a lot of good pointers of the area and offers an amazing waterfall tour that is just a true diamond in the rough you dont want to miss..its also less expensive than some of the other tours and convenient since it's on location as well.
The Casita is totally awesome, very private and has all the essentials you need to experience a pure Vida in Costa Rica, We Saw Toucans and some really cool butterfly's ! It the kind of place for a raw organic feel to your adventure. Which is exactly what Jonny and I wanted to experience.. We live in NYC so we really wanted to chill in an atmosphere that was not fancy and touristy.
Also did I mention the clear beautiful night sky! Wow that was also amazing..Since you are on high elevation with this casita..you can enjoy cooler air and a starry night also some amazing views driving down at sun set.... I recommend for sure!
Grande maison avec un beau style en montagne avec vue incroyable sur la jungle et la whale tail! On s'y sent vraiment bien. On y retournerait n'importe quand!
Beautiful location and great hosts. This is certainly a place to stay in for a few days. It is remote, lush and beautiful - a wilder Costa Rica than most
