I have been living in San Francisco for the past 20 years in the same neighborhood. I love to hike, bike, read, do crafts, decorate and entertain.

This place was immaculately clean, neat, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. I didn't hear the regular tenant once (might have been away) and I heard no street or neighbor noise. The bed was firm and had no sag.
Eva gave me all the prior information I needed (a link to her video showing the place was helpful) and she answered my email questions promptly. When I asked her about the safety of the neighborhood at night (because a class I was in a few blocks away ended at 10:15 p.m.) she said she feels safe out at night but volunteered to come meet me and walk me back. That was really thoughtful, but I declined and did feel safe.
Eva obviously has made every effort to make her guests have a positive experience, e.g. putting up soundboard between this room and the next; leaving a set of dishes, salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee makings, extra blanket, good lighting, DVD's, etc......
Very convenient room. I will probably come back.
Eva's place is perfect in every sense.. it's on a charming street, the home is in excellent shape, and her taste in decorating is fantastic. You feel very welcome and at home. She's so kind, she even made a short video to walk you through check-in if you are unable to meet in person.
For guests considering this place, please note that the staircase you see in photos has a door at the top of the stairs that closes off this unit from the house and gives you complete privacy.
Eva was great. She made sure I had everything I needed during my trip. The room was comfortable and spacious. Any questions I had were already answered in advance either by email, text, or with written instructions in the room. I would highly recommend her room for a solo traveler. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless, and its in a great quiet location near Golden Gate Park.
This was my first Airbnb experience. Eva's apartment is exactly as it is described. There is quite a bit of privacy with the separate entrance. Eva goes to great lengths to make sure the guests feel comfortable. The location is convenient and is close to the part and the Muni. I liked the neighborhood, too.
I enjoyed this cozy room in a lovely area of SF. Easy and private access, a separate door leading to the back yard, only a half-block to GG Park, and all the necessary amenities (coffeemaker, toaster, washer/dryer, etc) made this a great choice. And Eva was very quick to respond when I needed assist with the TV. I would have preferred a softer bed (just a personal choice), but I loved the place in every other way. Highly recommend it!
Eva's place is exactly as seen in the pictures. A comfortable room very close to buses, the Golden Gate Park and the Haight area in a nice quiet street. I liked the fact you have total privacy and you have your own toilet and even a microwave/fridge in case you want to have a quick snack. I didn't use them, but it was a nice touch.
I had a great stay there, and if I ever need to visit SF again I already know where to stay.
Eva's room was perfect for my week in town for work. I primarily used it as a place to land each evening and didn't spend much time there during the day.
It is very clean, quiet, and looks just as shown in the pictures. As there are no windows in the room, I appreciated having the door to the back yard; I did not feel like I was stuck in a basement.
I did not meet Eva, but we texted and emailed, and I felt sure that if I needed anything, she would be accessible and responsive.
The neighborhood is great, right near Golden Gate Park and the Haight, and with easy access to public transportation. Whole Foods is within a ten minute walk, and Richmond's restaurants are not far. I felt safe walking at night.
Eva was great! She was very accommodating and pleasant. The unit was immaculate. Everything you need for a comfortable visit.
The location was great since I was visiting my daughter at USF. Close to buses and shopping. I will definitely return.
Eva's place is just perfect and Eva is a responsive and wonderful host. I really liked having a private entrance and my own bathroom. The space was immaculate and full of unexpected amenities like access to a washer and dryer, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker with all the fixings and more. I could not believe how comfortable the bed was! The price makes staying with Eva a great value and the surrounding area was nice as well. I would definitely recommend a stay with Eva when in the San Francisco area. I hope to be back.
Yes, Eva is a very dear friend (and I can heartily second all the comments made by the others) but I have actually stayed in this Room for several nights! It is fabulous and the perfect choice for those visiting San Francisco. The room is well appointed and very comfortable, but the best aspects are 1) a separate entrance (really this a small apartment, not just a room) 2) access to the lovely garden and view of soccer field, and 3) best of all: its central location to the best of SF...especially the golden gate park...just walk across street and you are there! This is THE place to stay, I can't recommend it more highly.
I've known Eva for 15 years and she is the most reliable, fair and generous person I know! We are friends and coworkers. I also lived across the street from her for about 11 years and know this neighborhood. The house is a beatiful Victorian and the room itself is cozy, warm and perfect for a visit to SF. The location of the house is great as well-close to GG Park, the Haight, bus lines, etc. You will not regret staying here and working with Eva!
I know Eva well. This is lovely little room on a very pretty and safe block in the middle of San Francisco. You've got your own entrance and bathroom, and you are only a couple of blocks away from Golden Gate Park and the Haight, and about a mile away from the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The #5 bus, one block away, will take you directly downtown or to Ocean Beach, depending on which way you go. There are a couple of very nice cafes close by, too.
I've known Eva for 15 years and she's an outstanding woman? I watched each phase of the construction and have property-envy. She spared no expense in doing the job right. You can count on her to be straight forward and very dependable. I highly recommend her units if you are planning a trip to San Francisco. The only problem is it will spoil you for anywhere else.
