My husband and I are both teachers. We love to travel and entertain friends over good food and wine. We live in a beautiful historic home in the heart of downtown Huntsville with our son Sage and our dog Henry.

Jessica and Gus have a beautiful heritage house and run a home of organised chaos with their two adorable young children.
The attic room is incredibly spacious and private. Large bed, cable TV, rocking chair, bar fridge, and coffee/tea maker are all provided with plenty of room to spare. The bathroom and enclosed outdoor area are just steps away from the attic staircase also.
Both Jess and Gus welcomed us to use the full kitchen downstairs. Gus even prepared a gourmet Greek-style breakfast of yoghurt, olives, nuts etc etc etc.
Parking is best on the 'cross st' (Veterans Way?) and don't mind the enormous doe-eyed dog, Henry.
From the moment we walked in the door we felt very comfortable.
Jessica & Gus are perfect hosts and were kind enough to cater to our dietary requirements and also to allow Rose (our golden) to have total access to their home. Our accommodations were perfect, breakfast wonderful and conversation was endless (sorry Gus) . As antique lovers this home was right up our alley. What a great weekend.
Many thanks to you both & hugs to the kids.

Agréable nuit dans une grande chambre, petit déjeuné très copieux et excellent.
Jessica & Gus run a busy household with 2 little ones & lots of activity & yet they find the time to create a comfortable place to put your feet up & relax. The attic accommodation is spacious; the bed vast & comfy; tea, coffee & chilled water are available in your room; the bathroom is spotless & breakfast is abundant & healthy (except for maybe the butter tarts, but hey - some of us need that little burst of energy in the morning!).
The location is a few, short blocks from the main street where there are interesting shops, a handful of restaurants & lovely waterfront.
Jessica & Gus are friendly, available & very respectful of your privacy.
Henry, the dog, is friendly without being imposing & while the kids can occasionally be heard in the house, they are well behaved & also respect your privacy.
2 hints: I was travelling with a couple of suitcases but just packed a small carry-all for my 2 night stay because the stairs to the attic are indeed steep.
And: if you prefer a small breakfast, let these two generous folks know ahead of time or you'll find a feast beyond your ability waiting for you in the morning.
We had a great time at Jessicas house. They were great hosts and very helpful. The room is so cute and we felt like at Home. The breakfast was very good.
Our stay at Jessica and Gus's was just great. They were very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They made us a winner's breakfast every morning and gave us some useful local advice.
The room was very clean and spacious. It actually felt more like a studio that gave us a lot of privacy. We could make tea and coffee and we had our own fridge.
We very much enjoyed our stay with Jessica, Gus and their sweet kids. Even though we're not that much into dogs, we really loved their dog Henry. We would recommend this place to everyone, without any doubt!
Jessica's attic was perfect, and much larger than the pictures make it seem. Upon arrival (which was very flexible) Jessica gave us a quick little tour and then left us to get settled in. While we were only there for one night Jessica made us feel perfectly comfortable and you can tell she had really thought of everything.
Breakfast in the morning was great and Jessica was very accommodating of our restrictions!
If we're ever in Huntsville we would definitely stay here again.
Jessica and her family welcomed us with a big smile ;) The house is very charming and the attic in which we were staying was cosy and very comfortable. We had a delicious homemade breakfast and tasted local pastries. The eggs with Greek olive oil were amazing. Jessica and Gus gave us very good advices on places not to miss. We recommend at 100% to stay in their place - we felt like home. Thanks!
We had a great stay with Jessica and her family. When we arrived, she warmly welcomed us and gave us a tour of her home. The loft bedroom was beautiful and our stay was very comfortable. We didn't end up venturing into downtown Hunstville (very close to her house), but Jessica gave us some great recommendations on where to go if we did. We were leaving for a canoe trip the next morning and Jessica graciously got up early to prepare us an amazing spread of pastries, toast, omelettes, cheese, fruit, juice, and coffee. I would highly recommend staying here!
