Selena was such a welcoming and friendly host. We were glad to stay at the Spring Farm. It is a beautiful place with a lot of animals. She also made a great breakfast for us and we had an interesting chat with her. I can highly recommend her.
Cozy, comfortable, and beautiful property. The hosts were all lovely and welcoming, made us feel like we were part of the family even though we were there for less than 12 hrs.
My daughter and I - and the dog - were given a warm welcome by Selena and Alex. Our room was huge, full of light and warm in the cool evening. Although we could stay only two nights we felt totally revived as we left, thanks in no small way to Alex's great breakfasts . The farm is close to the beautiful Brittas Bay if you enjoy walks on the beach and within easy reach of Avoca, Glendalough and Mount Usher for history, culture and good food.
I had a fantastic time at Wicklow traditional sheep farm. Selena is a great host. I arrived in the middle of the lambing sezon. Got to see cute baby lambs. Selena walked me around. I met other family members, Lovely people. The room was speciouse and comfortable. There were a few lovely dogs to pet. went for a walk in the evening and a run in the morning. The views were amazing. It's a great place to relax.
We were only able to meet Alex but we really enjoyed his company and hospitality. He cooked us breakfast in the morning and helped us with transportation, too. We were able to explore the beautiful farm and found the room very relaxing and quiet. If you're looking for a getaway with a down-to-earth and accommodating family, this is the place to stay. We would love to visit again!
Scott and I really, really enjoyed our three days at the farm. It felt like time had stopped – we didn't want to leave!
The bedroom and bathroom is light, roomy, and spotless. The house is full of charm and activity.
Highlights include cuddling the baby lambs, frolicking on the beach and getting lost in the lanes.
There's Wi-Fi, but we recommend ditching the laptop/phone/laptop and truly relaxing.
Thank you to Selena, Alex and Daisy, and all the dogs for such a beautiful weekend.
Selena, Alex and their kids were fabulous hosts! They welcomed me into their home and made me feel very comfortable, like family. I had great conversations will all of them over my stay, and I chose to stay a bit longer.
The farm is beautiful and Selena showed me a sweet little hike around the property. Great views from the hike! The location is pretty convenient to several nearby attractions, but you must have a car. This is a WORKING sheep farm, so be prepared for a bit of mud, hay and animals.
They are also working on several additional spaces for Air B&B folks to stay in and I think that they will be quite nice!
We loved staying with the McKenzie family- they were all very nice and fun to talk too. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the bed is very comfy. The room is just as nice as it looks in the pictures and the farm itself is located in a beautiful landscape-no need to get in the car to drive somewhere for nice walks!
Selena and Alex were the loveliest of hosts; we couldn't have met nicer people on our trip. They were on hand whenever we had questions or needed directions, and provided lovely conversation at breakfast. The room was bright and comfortable and we even had our own tea and coffee facilities. A great place for exploring beautiful Wicklow.
Oh my gosh we could go on for paragraphs about our stay with Selena and Alex!
Our arrival was a bit tricky with directions but we figured out it out pretty quickly with the help of our GPS. The farm is amazingly! They have such a wonderful home and Selena greeted us with hugs, glasses of wine and great conversation around the kitchen table! We met the other guests staying there and we all chatted for awhile! We hadn't had dinner when we arrived and luckily for us Selena was able to contact the local pub and give them a heads up that we were on our way! We had some great fish and chips there!
They have the most lovable pets! Five friendly dogs and two cats! Our room was so big, clean and comfortable! They had a piano they allowed us to play and said they enjoyed having the music in the house!
In the morning they were up and about with their daily routines on the farm but kept an eye out for when we woke up! Selena prepared a great breakfast for us! They then allowed us to wander their farm and meet the animals! We saw fields of sheep, met their horses and pigs and all with their littlest dog Thistle as our guide!
All in all we really loved our stay here!
Great people, easy to host, hope they come back.
