We spent two wonderful nights on Selena and Alex's farm. Everything from the room to the breakfast surpassed our expectations! Selena made us feel very welcome in her home and took the time to recommend places to eat and chat with us! The property surrounding the house is perfect for exploring and if your lucky one of the lovely dogs may even join you! We would highly recommend staying here and hope we can visit again some day:)
Selena and Alex are the reason why we only travel on airbnb - for the ability to meet and talk with people and learn about their culture and lives. My husband and I felt immediately welcomed by Selena and her family and enjoyed great conversations, wonderful breakfasts and helpful advice. We would definitely return.
We had a really nice stay on Selena's farm! The breakfast was great and everything perfect. I would defenetly recommend staying here.
Fort bien accueillis, nous avons bien apprécié les échanges avec Selena, notamment la promenade dans la montagne pour découvrir le paysage et les moutons. Selena a su passer du temps avec nous et nous parler de son travail.
Selena and Alex were wonderful hosts and made me feel right at home. Their no nonsense approach to the challenges of a working farm are to be admired and they encouraged me to join in. This lovely rugged stone cottage is tucked away in beautiful rural countryside and still close to pubs and various sites. The room was very spacious, light and bright and the bed very comfortable. Alex shared his memories of his spent youth in Australia and so we had lots of laughs and things to talk about. An absolute gem.
We really enjoyed our brief stay on the farm. Our hosts were entertaining and made a great breakfast. We loved meeting our fellow guests and we were lucky enough to be there to see the sheep shearing. My only caveat to other guests would be that if you can't handle a little farm family chaos, this is not for you. Having said that however, we would love to come back!
Had a wonderful stay. Host and family were very welcoming and kind. Room was clean, breakfast was great.
Beautiful farm, beautiful people. Extremely hospitable and friendly.
Our stay at Springfarm was just a grand start to our Irish adventure. It is a very real slice of rural life complete with sheep, horses, donkeys, chickens & dogs. Alex is great to talk with - a true character - and his kids and parents were lovely to meet. Sorry to have missed Selena. The bedroom is great and the bed like sleeping on a fluffy white cloud. If you are not able to tolerate some messiness and the inevitable clutter of farm life, this is not the place for you but we loved it. Gps coordinates are very helpful.
Our stay was wonderful and the hosts were very helpful and welcoming. We had come to the area with hopes of doing some light hiking and were directed to Glendalough National Park which was just a short drive away. We left early in the morning after a wonderful breakfast of eggs and bacon. Had a great time talking and visiting, thanks a million!
Great people, easy to host, hope they come back.
