I can't say enough about how great Christopher's place is. Don't go for the bedroom, go for the host. Christopher is an interesting, charming, talented guy and I wanted to just mover right in! The house is 10 mins from the plaza but rural, a great location.
I had a wonderful stay at Christopher's home. He is an interesting and accomplished man, and an excellent host and musician. He provided useful advice and suggestions for making my visit as pleasurable as possible, accommodating to my schedule and helping to meet my needs in whatever way he could. I very much enjoyed his company and his other guests. This airbnb has a homey, comfortable, relaxed ambiance which suits me just fine.
The room was exactly as I had hoped. It was at the end of the hallway providing good privacy. It was spacious, had a big storage closet, a large dresser, nice functional desk. The wireless internet connection was good, plenty of outlets for charging electronic devices. Bathroom is well laid out with an excellent shower and a skylight (nice touch).
The neighborhood is residential and quiet (except for the occasional coyote howls) with quick and easy access to downtown Santa Fe, the Square, and galleries on Canyon Road. The house is on a rather large lot and there is plenty of room for parking.
Overall, I was delighted with the accommodation and the pleasure of meeting Christopher. Should I need accommodations in Santa Fe again, this would be my first choice.
What a creative personality with a delightful essence.
My car broke down before I made it here, but Christopher was very kind and understanding, even offering me a free night if I came in late!
Christopher was a warm and welcoming host with a beautiful home!
Christopher's house is definitely one of the most interesting places where anybody can stay, and I don't mean just in Santa Fe.
The house is beautiful and unique, artfully decorated, but not in the same way other houses are decorated. It makes sense, since Christopher is a unique person, and he decorated it in his own way. Natural light floods the house from all directions.
The room is not fancy, but perfect for a solo traveler. The bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is clean and it is only used by the guest staying in this room.
The location is very good --not walking distance to the downtown plaza, but a 10 minute drive gets you there (plus, Santa Fe is a very sleepy town, so I don't think there is any need to be walking distance to the plaza). The neighborhood is very quiet --you don't hear any noise at all, even during the day.
And finally there is Christopher himself --he'll make you feel comfortable and welcomed from the time you step in, and if you're lucky he'll regale you with some of the amazing and colorful stories he tells, or with the music he plays.
Definitely an awesome place to stay at if you are going to Santa Fe.
Christopher's home is very welcoming. It is setback from the road in a neighborhood which is open and quiet. You can easily take walks with little interruption from vehicles and stay within the neighborhood. You will encounter plenty of bird song, rabbits, and an open sky with fresh air and mountains in the distance. Christopher's home is very conveniently located near many of the sites you might want to see. The accommodations were comfortable, and Christopher most certainly gives you the feeling of being welcome. Full of interesting conversation, he is lovely to chat with and quite worldly. He has a spring in his step and is full of joy. His welcoming nature adds that much more to the experience. Christopher is truly a wonderful host.
Christopher was hosting a dinner party when I arrived, and he graciously invited me to join. Had I not had dinner plans, I would have gladly accepted. The listing was accurate, and located in a quiet part of town.
If you are visiting Santa Fe, stay at Christopher's. His place is so convenient. Short distance to all the sights and you get to experience his beautiful adobe house. His hoe is beautifully decorated, spacious, and very comfortable. Christopher is a wonderful host, accommodating our very late arrival due to flight delay and so helpful to give us tips on where to visit. We will definitely recommend his place and would love to come back again!
Christopher was very friendly and welcoming! Clean beautiful room with private bath. He shared with us great local recommendations- a must to check out the Loretta chapel staircase and Harrys roadhouse! Enjoy!
